Amps tone shaping capabities are good . One down side is the tube emulation which no matter how good it is will never replicate the sound of real tubes.

I have been playing for 25 yrs.and I am accomplished in all styles. I use two basses through this amp a Warwick 5 string, and a Sting ray 5 string. I must say with all the hipe of the new hydrive speaker I wasen't sure they would meet my expectations. But am pleased to say they have exceeded them. all the punch and attack of the aluminum cone with a massive increases in low end warmth and power handing capability. Two thumbs way up !!!
