You can go right to the main website on this, but here are the specs.
HyDrive transducers represent a revolutionary improvement in bass speaker technology and a major leap forward, fusing paper and aluminum in a roadworthy speaker design that is more robust and efficient than anything available.
With Hartke's HyDrive series, you get the best of both worlds: the warm tone of traditional paper cones and the clear, punchy attack of aluminum. HyDrive's patented Hybrid Cone Technology produces a speaker that uses an outside paper cone to push a warm, deep low frequency and an inner aluminum cone that produces mids and highs that cut, yet still remain sweet.
One of the most important advances with the HyDrive speaker is its power-to-weight ratio. A HyDrive speaker weighs 40% less than traditional speakers and delivers 250 watts for the highest power-to-weight ratio of any bass speaker available. But the innovation runs even deeper. Because of its cast aluminum frame and neodymium magnets, HyDrive speakers operate cooler and deliver more reliable power handling at peak performance

Here's really where this amp shines. I play John Paul Jones in a Led Zeppelin tribute (www.kashmirrocks.com) and I was literally searching for a few months on the bass rig that was going be able to get me the Jones tone. I play a Fender Mexican Jazz, which for the money, I'm getting another for a back up. By the way the Hydrive is matched with the HA3500 head, because I got the "FREE HEAD" deal, getting the amp before April 2009. I'll write a separate review on the head.
The Hydrive 410 is extremely versatile. The 3 way horn switch in the back (6db, off, on) gives you great options depending on the room, and what kind of a punch, or sweetness you are looking for. Totally up the John Paul Jones alley.
The bottom end out of this amp is amazing. I don't even have my HA3500 on 2 1/2 and I can go to the side of the state where my guitar player is, and still hear and feel the thump!
The mid-range and high crisp punch ( when you need it) cuts through with great clarity.

This cab is great, I'll probably get another one just to have in the van, incase there is a problem, but it's been great so far. I'm giving it a 9 here, because it's too new to tell.

I am an Hartke endorsed artist, and I deal with Larry Hartke directly. He's amazing. I was waiting on my HA3500, and I needed it for the weekend for my first gig with the Zep band, because I didn't want to use a 90's GK head with my new Hydrive, and Larry sent me the head, overnight to my house.
I've spoken to other people at Hartke, and they've been great.
haven't had any repair issues, but I went online and submitted my warranty info.

I've only been playing bass for 6 months, been a keyboardist all my life, but when I got the chance to audition for the band, I got a Fender jazz, and started learning the Jones parts. I even play Bass Pedals when I'm playing keyboards. (No left-hand bass here, I play authentic Jones)
If the Hydrive 410 was stolen or lost, I'd call up Larry and have him get me another one ASAP!
I played through the new Ampegs, SWR's, Peavey's, and size of the cab was a big issue, because I don't have an SUV. This cabinet weighs only 65 lbs! You can't beat it! And the castors are a big help.
The only thing I can say is that I should have gotten a cover for the cabinet, just so when I'm putting it in and out of the band van. I'll probably wind up getting a flight case for it for extra protection.

Manufactured in 2008 with 4 x 10" hybrid aluminum / paper cones that really bring out the upper harmonics of bass guitars without sacrificing depth of tone (I play a blade 5 string through various EH pedals, and everything just sings!). A switchable HF driver is a nce touch; allowing off, on or a -6dB setting for somewhere inbetween the two. I use this amp both in the studio and live and I have t admit that this is the only cabinet I've ever had that records perfectly through pretty much any microphone (AKG D112, Sennheiser 421 etc...) Great all round cab that has enough bass to it even without a 15" driver to complement it. Obviously sound quality relies on the specs of your amp head and bass guitar, but even with lower end heads this cabinet still delivers a beautiful, well-rounded bass tone. Also the cabinet comes with castors for ease of movement.

I've been playing for a good few years now, and have had (and still have) Marshall, Ampeg and Trace Elliott heads and / or cabs and nothing even comes close to this cab in regards of sound quality and detail in my bass tone. I play a Blade B15 through a Q-tron+ (big old one) a Russian big muff and an octave multiplexer, and for the most part the sounds from this cab are always great. One word of warning though, given the extended harmonic range of this cab distortion pedals can sound a bit too 'fizzy', so should be used with caution (I modded my Big Muff to take the top off the distortion before it hits the amp, though I realise that this isn't everyone's preferred option). For this reason alone I have to give this cab a nine instead of a ten, but that's my only criticism.

Built like a tank (but weighing significanty less) I've had this now for only about 8 or nine weeks, so haven't gigged it as extensively as most of my other kit (which, to be fair is very reliable) so can't really comment too much on this category. Whenever I use this kit though it feels very robust and durable, and given Hartke's excellent reputation I have no reason to doubt that it will keep running as long as my old Trace Elliott kit has.

I've been playing for 17 years and have had a fair few basses and amps in my time, some have been better than others but this one just sounds head and shoulders above the rest. Amazing clarity and depth of tone, tons of headroom (1000W cabinet) and selectable HF unit; this is everything a 4 x 10 should be. Highly recommended.

Made in 2008. This cab is the fusion of Hartke's aluminum cone and paper cone so you get the best of both worlds. I play christian metal /rock, and yes, it handles anything I could possibly throw at it as my amp is 1000 watts. I like the frequency switch on the back that enables you to give a little boost to the highs the horn is a nice touch. I love this cab. OH I love the weight - like 60 lbs... PLUS it has a place for the casters to rest on top of the 115 (should you get both cabs). I love it - did I mention that already?

Dean razor std with active j pickups and dean demonator4 with active soapbar pickups. This cab is quite when I am, and loud when I am. The mids and highs are out of this world. Even the lows are incredible.

This cab is brand new, but I owuld bet it won't be breaking down anytime soon. Hartke = quality and I think if you are reading this, you already know that. Hartke does not make junk. They have been on the cutting edge of bass cabinets, and amps for YEARS now, and this is the feather in the hat of Larry. I see no worries with this breaking. Anybody who WANTS a heavy amp, go right for it. I am tired of lugging 9,000 lbs of amp to and from gigs. My guitarists will be happy too, because one person can carry these babbies up the stairs. No kidding. ANYWAY yeah Guess I got off the subject, these will be reliable. Hartke stands behind them, they have a 3 year warranty.

Hartkes customer support is AWESOME!!! I had a problem with my 215 and they sent the speakers. 3 days later I got the speakers. A few days later I got a phone call to make sure I got them. A week later I got another call to make sure I was satisfied. You tell me. I felt like a king.

I have been playing for over 20 years. I own the Hartke LH 1000 the Hydrive 115, Hydrive 410, xl series 410, xlseries 215, dean demonator4, dean razor std.
If this were stolen I would be mad, but would buy it again yes. Again, I love the frequency switch that gives me that boost for the extra highs. Really when shopping for cabs, there is no choice for me. I have played Hartke for so long that that is all I play. If you want a company who is going to stand by their product and treat you like a person, and be there to answer your questions; a company that for decades has been dedicated to us bass players and our needs and a company that for me knows what I want and gives it to me, then here it is. the HYDRIVE 410
