Hartke Systems Transient Attack MX series 4x10 cab, paper cones, 3" aluminum tweeter in the center of the 4 - 10" speakers, very heavy cab; I had to mount some cheap casters on the bottom of this thing after moving it a few times. Recessed plastic handles, cheesy fake carpet covering (black), plastic corner guards, painted black metal grill (small holes), cab wood feels like pressboard (bad), 4" round port in rear center of cab, single jack in upper left hand corner, also at the rear. Not sure of the year or country, etc., but this handles all the styles that I play well (punk, rock, surf, rockabilly, metal, country, etc), these are great speakers; they have taken abuse from several heads that I've plugged into it (GK, Hartke, Kustom, Crate, etc), I wasn't going to bother w/ a review, than saw that there wasn't one for this line of cabs, I think they are a great value.

Nice lows w/ crisp highs, thanks to the tweeter. I didn't think it would make that much difference at first, but it's nice. I play a couple of 80's Fender MIJ P basses though it, as well as an 80's Fender MIJ jazz, & it sounds good. I also own a few Kramer basses, an '86 Ibanez roadstar, an SX jazz, & a Bogie Bodies bass.

Solid as a rock, but I think it's built out of pressboard, which I hate. Heavy as hell (which is good as far as speakers are concerned), but the fake carpet covering is lame (I'm a tolex type of guy!). Handles seem sturdy. Jack is solid too. Loud.

I bought this off a guy from craigslist that was moving for $100 (that's how I aquire most of my gear). I didn't even try it out; I just loaded it into the back of my car (with some difficulty I might add), handed him the dough & drove off. Not a single regret so far! Been playing 20 years, own(ed) a ton of stuff, I love picking stuff up cheap, if it were stolen I'd just try something else out, don't get me wrong, it sounds great but it's heavy as hell; go to Home Depot & get yourself some $3 casters for this bad boy. Whew! I love how solid this thing feels/sounds, but the cheesy covering has got to go (either that or my cat does; it attracts hair like a magnet...). I'm trying to figure out why there aren't more reviews of this thing...
