Jade Hurricane Bass 75

Im back. well, two weeks after i was supposed to have it, jade sent me a new one. So here is a proper review. It is a 2002 model hurricane series amp and it can do any style of music ever. i play mostly metal and hard rock, but if i want to go softer and play something cleaner, this amp can handle it. it has 2 imputs, one for active imputs and one for passive, which i think is a great idea. it also has compression, but i never use it, ever. this amp has more than enought power for me, even with the gain on 2 (out of 10) this thing is extremely loud, and can easily get over the top of even the most schitzophrenic drummers. also, the mid-shape is the best tool ever, it really cleans up whatever you are playing.

i am using a samick 4 string bass with passive humbuckers, and i think i have almost killed it, but it the best bass i have ever played. the amp suits it perfectly, as i play mostly heavier stuff. but i play things like jason newsted's my friend of misery solo, and the amp plays that perfectly too. the hurricane can make anywhere from a heavy rumble of dropped d, to a really hollow sound, which makes my bass almost sound acoustic.

well you all heard me hate the other one, but this thing seems fine, no static or anything.

see other review. *shudder*. although, once they knew what they were doing, my new amp was there within 2 days, so that almost makes up for the rest. almost.

see other review, but i love the versatility of the amp, it can play anything. also, if i want to pretend i am cliff burton i can plug in the wah and distortion and go nuts. i recommend this amp to anyone, but if your one screws up, yell your lungs out at jade, because they hate dealing with customers. enjoy, and......ROCK ON!!

i never really got to try out my BRAND NEW amp's features, because it dies within 5 mins of low volume playing. However, when i was playing it sounded awesome, great tones and tonnes of bass, and handled the distortion well.

This was absolutely crap, i got the amp home, and after maybe 3 mins of playing, it just died and hummed, i could not get a thing out of it, definately the worst ever amp for reliability. seriously, unless you can fix it yourself or are in walking distance of the place you got it, dont buy it.

3 years warranty, sounds great, huh? not so good when the amp breaks down less than 5 mins after you got it.

i have been playing 4 years and i own a morley wha pedal and a drive distortion pedal. i love the way it sounds simply brilliant, but thats only when it works, which is like 0.000000001% of the time, worst amp ever, my old 15 watt samick is still going strong and at the moment i have more respect for it than the damn jade.
