The construction of the amp is a little cheap looking, however, it does not have a bad look (though looks are secondary).

Johnson Stage 50B is a small useful amp for practice, keyboards and small gigs. I used it in a large empty room and it sounds good. If I were to turn it up in a room that is not acoustic friendly such as a living room with furniture is does not work well. I would turn it up past the third notch, the speaker would vibrate and sound distorted. I have a Peavey 20 watt Microbass with an 8? 4ohm speaker and it sounds much louder and better. Therefore the sound quality of the Johnson Stage 50B is less than desirable.

It works properly when not turned up too loud. I giver it a 7 because it works whenever I use it but the sound quality is not as good.

I never delt with the Johnson amp cpmpany, however, bought this amp from ebay because sell2all said it was a 70-watt amp. It is not a 70-watt amp, its 30 watts, nor sounds like a 70-watt amp. If the seller was more honest I would have bought a different amp.
