I purchased this amp used at Guitar Centers. It was a special order item that the person who ordered it never came back to pick it up after placing a deposit so I was the winner at $399.
I upgraded from a Peavey t-max. I was looking for something to power my 8x10 cab and take advantage of the 1200 watt handling capacity. This amp is pushing 750 watts at 4 ohms currently .
I have to compete with 2 guitarists and this amp cuts right through the mix and maintains a clear tone without distorting at higher volumes.

This amp has no frills. Bass, Mid, Treble, and a nice EQ. I do however run a BBE Sonic Stomp pedal through it just for added tone clarity. The amps normal dry tone is clear and crisp. You can crank up the gain and get a realy nasty distorted sound that to me sounds like the tone used by bands like Fumanchu and Kyuss.

So far this amp has been solid. I have no complaints

I contacted Kustom becuase when I try to run my BBE Sonic Stomp pedal through the effects look it sounds to hot. The Tech stated that the effects loop is line level and unless Im running an effect with a line out line in level setting its probably better to run directly into the front of the amp. Which makes sense to me.

Ive been playing since 1984 Ive owned everything from GK to Trace Elliot. This head really competes with the Trace Elliot in my opinion on. If I was stolen I would buy another one without flinching. I would like to downsize my 8x10 cab and grab to AVATAR cabs but we will see.

This amp has a basic set-up for the front panel. Nothing complicated hear. I wish most amps were this simple. The best part was the price. A lot of power for a small price as well. I play everything from jazz fusion, r&b, soul, 70's rock and everything in between.

I play this amp through a Euphonic Audio VL210-B @ 4 ohms. Nothing in between. I might be adding a compressor for slap, but it sounds great for now. I use 2 Fender jazz basses. EMG and Sadowsky pickups and no effects. The amp has a clean sound with no distortion. It has a tube like warmth. I haven't tried it with a fretless, but I am sure that I will have no problem being that I am really impressed with the sounds that I am getting now. I love the fact that the overhead on this amps keeps the distortion away. I have no problems dial up any tones that I want. This rig is just right for small to medium venues and never distorts.

I have not had any problems with this amp. Of course, I have a small setup so I always carry my own rig.

I have been playing for 27 years. I owned everything from the standard 70's amps to elaborate racks. This amp is very basic and I like that. Tons of power and the right amount of features. I don't understand why rigs have to be so complicated. I guess with my own experience, showing off and bragging rights. You know, boys with toys. This is probably going to be my last amp. I like the power for the price and the simplicity.
