Single channel, 15? watts, 8" speaker, 3 band parametric EQ, headphone jack. Very light weight, great for home practicing.

Using Yamaha BB614 active bass, sound is very bright and the highs are a little too crisp for me. Not enough bottom end, but this is due to the fact that it's and 8" speaker. Tends to have a little buzz/hum when volume is cranked up. Fairly clean sounding, reminds me a punk rock bass sound. Not for those who like warmth in their sound.

Been playing for 5-6 years. I also use Carvin amps and this thing doesn't quite compare to my Carvin. Nice price at about 70$, made a great gift for my girlfriend. I really think this would sound about 80% better if it was made with a 10" speaker instead of an 8". Nice and lightweight though so it's easy to carry around.

So my brother got this little Kustom 10 Watt amp for practicing the bass and i've been kinda playin around with it for a while now.
Pretty standard for a practice amp, volume, high, mid low, headphone jack... on/off button...

The sound on this is kinda iffy. If you turn it up past about 9 o'clock not only will it buzz like crazy but might kinda distort. This can be avoided by tinkering with the eq a bit. I was testing it out with both a really crude single pickup bass I got for free and a Fretless Fender Jazz Bass, and as can be assumed, the cheapo bass hummed alot more. It gives a rather realistic sound of your bass on lower sound levels.
Despite some humming, it can get rather loud for such a tiny amp. You can easily jam along with some rediculous music pumpin out of the stereo and not get too covered up, if you dont mind a bit of distortion. But gorgeous sound quality can't be expected from a cheap bedroom practice amp.

This amp is built like a brick. I'd probably be able to drop it off the roof and only do damage to the driveway. I've had it in the house for about 7 months now and it's doing great.

Havent really had to deal with anything, dont think I'd bother if it broke, it's a PRACTICE amp, not a big investment on my part.

I've been playing guitar for about 2 years and bass for around 6 months. Though that doesnt sound terribly impressive, I also do alot of recording and sound engineering as well as gigging in my blues/classic rock band, so I've been able to test out all kinds of amps. I've got a 60 watt Fender Bassman amp on loan which is AMAZING, but too heavy to carry all the way up to my room, so for practicing this little amp is just fine.
I dont need all the fancy crap for practicing, so this thing does the trick for me. Price is perfect for a little amp, as anything cheaper than this that I've tried out is pure garbage. If I lost this amp I wouldnt have an emotional breakdown or anything, but I'd probably have to go find another practice amp as soon as possible. The sound on it is pretty good, buzzes a little but like i say, it's a practice amp, give it a break. Maybe if you run the bass through a compressor first it'll clean up the sound a bit, but I'm not willing to go to that trouble for practicing. All in all it's a pretty decent little amp, fantastic for beginners.

Small 10 watt practice bass amp with gain, treble, middle and bass controls. Has headphone jack. I use it with a Hondo acoustic bass and it does the job when jamming with amped up acoustic guitars. I play mostly classic rock and country/rock. I was surprised at how loud this little guy gets.

I've used it with my acoustic bass and it really works well with that. I also have a 72 Fender Telecaster bass and this little Kustom amp really doesn't do it justice. I think my Fender bass prefers my larger Fender BXR 200 watt amp. I haven't had any noise problems using my acoustic bass at moderate levels (1/4 to 1/2 volume) with my KBA-10. I keep the bass control maxed out and the mid and treble on about 2. This seems to sound good to me and actually quite clean. I haven't had any distortion problems at all like some of the other reviews indicate but maybe I lucked out and got a good one.

I've been playing guitar for about forty years and bass for about 35. I have a 72 Fender Telecaster Bass, Strat (Mex), Tele (Mex), Takamine 350 EG acoustic/Electric, Seagull folk acoustic/electric, Hondo H 1000 acoustic/electric bass, Peavey Deltal Blues amp, Trace Eliot Super Tramp amp, Dean Markley acoustic amp, Crate CR60 acoustic amp, Fender BXR 200 bass amp and various odds and ends. I would probably buy another KBA-10 if this one were lost or ripped off. I really like the sound for the size of this amp. The only thing I'm not sure about is how hard I can push this amp. I pick up this amp when I bought my Hondo acoustic bass so that I could have something to just get the volume up a bit for playing with other guitarists. This little guy blew me away with the volume that I could get out of it.

Volume, bass, middle, treble controls and a headphone jack.

I play a cheap guitar through this now but used to use it for my bass. I acheieve distortion/overdrive by turning it up full with the guitar, gives it a tubey sound strangely enough. It goes fairly loud with a guitar and not quite so loud with a bass.
The EQ controls make it easy to sculpt the sound.

I've been playing for a year and ten months, and I like this amp. I prefer it more for guitar than bass, but that could be because my bass was horrible to play. I'd miss it if it were lost, it goes to a great volume and is very versatile. It's very quiet (hiss-wise) even on full volume. It's a good guitar amp.

This amp has the basic stuff u nead but its not varry powerfull but its ok for practicing even though if you turn it up to about half it will seem as if you got distortion because the specher is to small its only a 8 inc speaker in a cass that can take a 10 inc. i wish it had an overdrive built into it or somethin but its ok for beginers that don't wanna cranke it up past 1/4 of the volume or it will make a good adition to a soround sound sistum

the sound is ok for a 8 inc speaker but it could be better because when i turn it past 1/4 it starts to raddle in the case and it sound like crap. and i play with my friend in his goroge and it sounds like crap cuz it dosn't have a low setting on it so we always have to crank up the volume so people all the way down the street can here us ya we like it cuz were startin a band but still and when u turn the high EQ on it up it pics up radio signoles like mad at first i thought it was just my amp fuckin up but after all the other revews i know its the amp it self

This pratice amp has everything that i need for bedroom use, it has gain and tone switches, aswell as a headphone jack. It lacks versitility in more advanced playing though, these single options can be limiting. In terms of power, this amp is perfect when starting playing, but bring a drummer into the equation and it is no good.

The clean channel on this amp is absolute crud. However I use a crappy Encore Strat replica, which doesnt help. But i do like the overdrive switch. This sound is perfect for heavy, thrashy stuff (my kinda music) and is pretty good for pop punk. the distortion is nice, I think it sounds nicer than some more expensive amps. This amp does give some versitility, as a begginer I play all sorts of stuff. But if you want a warm sound, this probably isnt the amp for you.

I have been playing for about 6 months, and i recently bought a Crate GX65. I now play in a 4 piece band therefore this amp no longer suits my needs. But as a first amp this was absolutetly perfect, i couldnt of asked for much more. If i wasnt in a band and i lost this amp, i would buy the same again, but it is no longer used that much so i wouldnt bother. as i said before i love the distortion on this amp, but the clean channel is not at all good which can be frustrating. Overall a good first amp.

I use a Strat copy with this amp and I play everything from Blues to Metal. It's not extremely versatile but it gets the job done. The overdrive is slightly raspy and buzzes at high gain levels. The clean channel is surprisingly good for an amp this small too.

The usual: volume and a 3-band EQ, one input, phone jack.
It has an open-back cabinet, which makes it sound a lot like a guitar amp. One thing I really like is the top-mounted controls and jacks.

I know it's a practice amp, but it sounds pretty bad. I used to have a Peavey Microbass, it sounded a million times better, but it also was 20 watts instead of 10. My friend has a Johnson Stage 20, and it also sounds way better. This amp sounds like it has a couple of blankets over it...very muffled. It can get pretty damn loud though, even with the volume at a low level.
While fiddling with the EQ I noticed that sometimes the amp buzzes EXTREMELY loudly. It is so loud it covers up some of the actual music. Then I went to change the knobs and I thought I heard voices coming out of the amp, but I decided that I was going nuts and didn't mind them. Later, I found the buzz was caused by turning the high EQ knob down to zero...and realized that the 'voices' were actually "Barely Breathing" by Duncan Sheik, and were present whenever the buzz was. I kept listening, and it turned out that it was picking up a local radio station on 94.1 FM via my guitar cable! Freaky. Turning up the knob a smidge kills both the buzz and the voices. I don't know if this is a design flaw or a defect.

Never dealt with Kustom. They do give a 3 year warranty though. I don't think it would be worth it to fix the amp if it broke...it cost $50 brand new. I give a 5 here because of the warranty.

It seems to be a good, cheap way to practice. If you mess with the controls enough, you can get it to sound decent.
