Kustom KBA-16 Combo

Mr. Anon did a great job listing the features (such as they are). This is a cool little amp I got just for practice. For what this is, Kustom did a nice job designing it. I'd like a dedicated second instrument input, but I'm betting the CD input could be used to do that. The Celestion speaker really sold me on this amp.

I was initially disappointed with the sound. It sounded very boxey to me. I twidled with the controls and still wasn't totally happy. Then I raised it up off the floor which really improved the sound quality. Very nice practice amp that I think you'll get a great sound out of if you play with the settings and positioning a little.

The controls all feel solid and this amp appears to be very well built. I believe it has a three year warranty, so I'm not worried--if it quits I'll get this fixed or get another one.

We'll see what happens if this does indeed ever need service. I'm hoping it won't.

I wanted a nice compact practice amp. This certainly fits the bill. I doubt it would keep up with band practice, but for playing at home or with a friend on guitar, this is fine. I liked this amp so much I ordered a similar model for guitar. I think Kustom is on to something, they build nice looking and sounding amps at reasonable prices.

The previous reviewer did an excellent job of listing it features. I won?t be redundant. I only wish it didn?t shut off the internal speaker when you use the external speaker jack. I would like to use it as a personal stage monitor then out to the house PA.

I play an '86 Peavey Foundation (good ol' USA made). It has 2 single coil ferrit pickups. I play usually with the neck P/U volume set at 5 and the bridge P/U at 10. This puts out a nice harmonic sound. The amp EQ. settings are low 12 o?clock, lo/mid 2 o?clock, hi/mid 3 o?clock, high 3 o?clock. This amp has a very good tone for such a small speaker. It does began to distort sound above 12 o?clock volume. 10 o?clock volume shakes the pictures effectively in my living room. It is just a practice amp.

I've had it for almost a year. It's been no trouble.

I've not dealt with them but thier web site is very helpful. I was able to pull up the operating manual online. Very easy to navigate.

I took up the bass because my son plays guitar and I wanted to be able to play along with him. Since then I have began to play bass in church. I?ve been playing for about 1 year. This been a good practice amp with good features.

Flexible, great sounding, able to adapt to all kinds of music. It really delivers for it's size. The Celestion speaker sounds really nice. One of the best sounding amps in it's class.

Rugged and dependanble. Kustom amps are very well built.

Kustom has been around for over 30 years. They're easy to get in touch with.

I've been playing for 40 years. If it were stolen I'd probably try to find another one. I play an acoustic bass through this little brute. It sounds great. Buy one if you can. I don't think that it is made any longer. It is great for a practice amp or small gigs.
