This is a 4 X 10 , 500 W RMS , 8 Ohm Speaker. It has 2 inputs at the back allowing one to connect in series or parallel. It weighs approximately 30 Kgs but has two appropriately placed side handles making it convinient if not easy for one person to carry.

It also has a tweeter and a level control for the tweeter at the back , thus making it ideal for defining the sound you want.

Sound Quality : 10
I run it with a Labsystems VP300S amp and i have never before gotten a better sound. Prior to running it with the Labsystems VP300S i have ran it with a hartke head and an ashton head and neither of them sounded better with any other speaker.

This speaker is about definition and punch. I play in a band where i play pick style / finger style and slap and for all the three scenarios i have never had any problems reproducing the sound i wanted.

I have pushed my amp head to around 80% in certain scenarios but i have never heard the speaker itself distort ever.

Reliability : 10
This speaker was manufactured in 1997 and i have owned it for the last 2 years and played about 50 or so gigs and numerous practise sessions with it. In all this time i have never once had a problem.

Customer Support : 10
I asked labsystems general questions about the amp head i own and they have always been prompt with their reply.

If you are looking at buying the last speaker you will ever buy then this is the one. This one wont give you any reason to complain about or crave for more and at 500Watts its more power than you will ever need.

One thing is that labsystem speakers are quite expensive and second hand ones are hard to find hence if you can get one around AUD 1000$ or less dont think twice.

Finally i dont have any complaints about it except for the fact that at 32 Kgs its quite a bit for me to lift coz im only a small guy weighing about 65 Kgs. But well thats not the speakers fault. Some protein shakes and a few weeks in the gym should take care of that.
