I don't know what yearit was made, I bought it second hand.
It's a Mosfet amp, and it is rated at 600 Watts. I use it with an 610 cabinet. Just to try it out I had it up to three quarters up once in a large hall (600 people capacity) during soundcheck.
It is abnormal how loud that amp is!
It is very simple to operate, I only would have liked an extra channel

I use Precision and jazz basses and it gives you exactly what you put into it. It is very clean up to the high volumes.
Eq. is simple but very effective, so is the onboard compressor, which only kicks in at very hard slapping.
Reliability

No reason to doubt it ever, but I always have a backup.
A GK, which is very similar except for the power.

I've been playing for 30 years now, and I own several basses and amps, like a GK 400RB head, Fender bassman cabinet, GK cabinet.
I use this amp with together with the 610 cabinet, which is totally up to this amp.
I rate it together with Ampeg stuff.
