Early 90s Amp, 150Watt, made in England. Has an touch of the look of older Trace Elliots I think. It's easy to use because there are not too many knobs and switches. One Input Gain knob, two switches for Pre-Shapes, one on/off switch for the graphic equalizer. On the right side it has got switches for noisegate and limiter and of course the Volume knob. Two Inputjacks (active, passiv), effect loops and one jack for a footswitch. Not to forget the DI Out, wich can be switched from Pre EQ to Post EQ. And it has an jack for phones! Very cool!
I really like this Amp. It has all that I need. But it would have been nice, if it had an mute-switch and a jack for the tuner.

I play rock and heavy metal with this Amp and use it in my bands practiceroom.
I run it to an Ashdown ABM stack and it sounds great. Works really good together with Ashdown. My two basses are no-name products, not worth to mention them. But both basses are equiped with humbuckers and activ electronics. One of the basses really kicks ass when I run it to the stack, the other one is just ok. So the sound is not always the same, when I change basses. The noisegate and the limiter are great things, too! I'm really happy that they're build-in and easy to use.
Great sound, I like the Amp!

The Amp is very old now but it looks like new. It's build like a tank. Very good quality! I think it's unbreakable.
I would use it on gigs without a backup because I can depend on it.

I've been playing bass for 3 years or more. Guitar since 5 years now. Before I bought the Laney, I used an Trace Elliot GP12SMX combo with my 1x15" Ashdown ABM box. I never liked the Trace very much. Although I onced heard, that my Laney should be similar to the Trace, I like the Laney best! I also testet Ampeg and Ashdown heads. The only Amp I would use instead of the Laney is the Ashdown EVO 300 Head. But at the moment I don't think about replacing the Laney. All in all it's a very great Amp for little money. It fits my style perfectly, I really like it.
