I used this amp firstly with terrible copy of P-bass and the sound was really ugly, just muddy bottom, never heard what am I actually playing and everybody asked me to turn up little bit (much) even though I played on max, but then I upgraded to a MIM J-bass with beatiful bottom and very warm sound and things improved much. I think, for that prize it's pretty universal amp with good sound in every style, but there's still lacking something, the sound is very cold, sterile. But it is problem of all Laney bass amps I've heard.

As I wrote above, for beginner as I was (am), it was good amp for a killer prize. My main complains were matched with its silence (I had 8 ohms speaker)
