I'm only giving it a 9 because it would suck arse for dub music. Can get pretty much any tone out of it but there doesn't seem to be a way of getting muddy bass out of it which is undesirable for some people and you wouldn't be able to play dub through it very well. Comparison doesn't have much to it either in terms of versatility but other then those few things you can get alot of sounds out of it.

Awesome range as said before. Very nice light drive when you stick the gain up and volume down. Ultra clear sound but plentifully deep. Suits anything Rock related. I use an ATK and a bass and midrange kinda sound and it's very chunky with the matching 4x10 and I'm still yet to get a 15 so it'll be even fuller with that.

Built like a brick ""??$house. Output stages have gone a couple of times but it was entirely my fault.

Has a distinct character, definitely my favourite thing about this amp. Out of all the Ampegs and Mesa out there people use for rock I wouldn't change it for any of them, It'll be nice to see what their high end bass amps will be like when they come out next month.
Stupidly cheap too, unfortunately the new models are ugly as hell though.

For the Price 10. If it cost as much as a Ampeg Svt I'd give it 8. You can tweak your tone endlessly with the options available.

Fantastic.
Ric 4003, Fender Mustang, Stingray, all kick ass through this thing.
Whether I use the dedicated 1x15 and 4x10 laney cabs or a 8x10 AMpeg cab, this amp is brilliant.
For the price, I'll never play anything else, why would I when this sounds so bloody good.

Tough as old boots. And if it does die new they cost #179.oo, so I'll just get another one.
Anyway, been playing Laney gear for three years, and no problems yet.

Brilliant, always helped, even when I blew a head they sent me a replacement after finding it was a 1 in a million manufacturing fault.

I dont think I'll be playing any other amps, I've tried various AMpegs, Ashdowns, Yamaha's, this amp gives me MY tone that I like, everyone always compliments me highly on my great sound and clear headroom, why would I change to another brand when they dont offer me the tone I like.
