This is a Lnaey 410 cab that I bought new about 3 years ago from my local liverpool music store. Its rated at 8ohms, has four 10" speakers and a horn. I used to be a big Peavey fan in me earlier years but theyre an ass to carry about and fellow bandies really dont appreciate it.
Thats why I love this cab so much as its so so light! another peavey comparison is that, unlike the peavey cabs, the Laney has an extra link socket in the back for daisy chainin' in series.
Other then that, it has real chunky handles (could be a little higher, but thats personal pref)and a frequecy selectable tweeter would have been nice but the horn does a great job fo' sho'.

I play Jazz, Motown, Soul and some classic rock - I used to slap through it too. and the cab really handles it all. Id say it has a very full sound - I've played it with a valve head (I dont like Laney heads that much) and it was really nice and warm. But at the mo' Im using it with an ashdown head and another laney 115. And wow! The combination. Almost forgot I use a modern Fender deluxe Jazz.
Comparison - Ive played through Peaveys as theyre great value too as well as through ampeg swr kustom fender and GK cabs. And the Laney fends suprisingly well. I'll admit - if i could get a full ampeg setup I def would - but this does me fine and is superb value at ?265

I gave this cab an 8 out of 10 because its not as great as the really expensive cabs. But it if your just lookin at value for money id give this cab a clean 10.
All hail English engineering! If this cab was to be nicked I'd get the lates Laney going. Experience wise - I've been gigging 8 years and 've been using laneys for the last four and I wish for the whole 8!
