Think it was made in 2008.
Its a fairly well rounded little practice amp -- the onboard modeling effects and amp sims are pretty convincing. At the push of a finger you can go from rock to funk to whatever. Wish this had the synth option like the larger lowdown combo amps have. If this had an effects loop, had stereo direct outs, direct out line that has "AIR," and more tweakability in the effects it would be prefect. Its not big enough to take to band practice when you're playing with a drummer but its way loud for bedroom practice sessions. If you mic it, recording would be a snap, but I have to run the headphone out through my POD XT live to add a mic'd speaker sim to make it sound thicker. Otherwise it sounds way thin to me. But just turned on and cranked to play, its a little marvel.

It has a very slight hum when turned on, but not as much as the 175 watt combo I have. The hum is everpresent, but not overbearing and can be overcome by turning up the volume some. It does not get louder when turning the volume up, it remains the same. When using other effects pedals in front of this amp, it makes the hum more pronounced, but again, the hum is still nominal. From clean, r&b, rock, and grind, the different channels offer a wide variety of tones which are all tweakable. The compressor is smooth and really sounds awesome on any of the channels. The distortion on the grind channel is heavy/fuzzy/aggro.

Ive only had this amp for a week, so I can't really speak about reliability. Heard that Line 6 customer service really sucks but never had an issue with all of the gear that I've bought from them. From past experiences, I would think that this amp should be as reliable.

Bought it second hand and I have never dealt with Line 6.

I've been playing guitar on and off since high school and been playing bass for about four years now. If this were stolen or lost, yes I would buy the same exact thing. I've had other inexpensive practice bass amps in the past and they all had onboard effects and they all sucked. This one sounds decent and the hum is bearable at lower volumes. Still wish it had a parallel effects loop so it would be easier to use the effects from my BASS POD XT Live.

This amp first came out in October 2008. I played it in GC and couldn't really hear it, but it was really inexpensive so I decided to take it home. It really sounds great for a 15 watt amp. I thought that I would need to buy a more powerful amp for rich sounds at bedroom levels that did not sound too mid range-y, but this amp does the trick. As far as features it has modeling and effects.

I bought this because I have an ampeg BA115 that hisses at low levels. I was hoping that Line 6 would be quieter. It is much quieter.

I have been playing for 30 years. I love this amp. Check it out if you want a great practice amp. It probably won't be loud enough for drums...still it is pretty loud. I can hear my bass now (the ampeg is muddy and hissy at low levels. The LD15 knobs are on the front of the amp, which is a key feature for me. Now I am so glad I didn't shell out $500 for a MicroMark, which is not what I even wanted or needed in the first place.
