This is the newer 500 watt 4.5 lb digital bass head from Markbass. It has low, low mid, high mid, and high eq controls to really dial in any sound and also has a vlf and vle for eq shelving basically. Once you get your sound setup, these knobs can give you different tones. It has a single input which handles both passive or active instruments and gain and master volume knobs. It has a tuner out on the back, 2 speakon outs, ground lift, and XLR out. Has pretty much anything for getting tone you need.

Now the sound quality - I run an Ibanez SRX590 bass into it and have an Ampeg610hlf anniversary cab, and this things rocks! This head into a good cab will give you some of the best tone you have ever heard. Solid punchy goodness and will give you anything from Reggae to Slap to Metal to Rock to R&B. I really don't think this head would come up short on much of any style. I play hard rock/metal mostly and this head can add some spank to your sound! Cranked up full, and little to no noise. 4.5 pounds and 500 watts of tone like this, WOW!

It is built with a thick aluminum chassis and I believe the circuit board is sealed to prevent vibration issues etc. Built like a tank!

Made it Italy, lightweight, solid and sturdy, and tone for miles! Only downfall to this head is the price, but I got mine on a trade so no worries.
