Purchased brand new in August 2009, the Head has all features that a Bass player would need: two inputs, effects loop, EQ section very easy to use, the wonderful VLE and VPF controls ( magic knobs really ! ) and 800 watts of digital power !!!
I use this head for different styles of music and styles, as I like fingerstyle, pickstyle and slap. The amp responds nicely to all these styles. This is definitely a clean amp. It features both a solid state and a tube preamps, which can be blended together.

The head is dead quiet and well built. The magic comes in when you set the solid state and Tube preamps knob at 50-50. The head is really warm and you can hear the tube preamp kicking in and add more presence to your Tone. The Tone is clean and with a buttery low fat !!

I have had Markbass products for four years now, and it never crosed m mind to bring a backup amp so much I can rely on them !!!!!

Peter and the other representatives at MarkBass have been there for me every time I had questions or comments about their products.
It never broke so I did not need any parts or service on my current Tube 800 or my former Little Mark II heads.

I have been playing Bass for 25 years. If it were stolen, I would get another one in a heartbeat !!! At 6 pounds and 800 watts of clean and pure power, this is a winner amp and a good improvement in the MarkBass line of products. Really, if you need a warm Tone, lots of headroom, and like to carry 6 pounds to save your back after a long gig, this is a product you should consider. Kudos to MarkBass for introducing such a Bass amp !!!
