This amp has all the tone shaping options you need. I esepcially like the VLE and VPF filters that allow you to boost either the mid range or high+low. This is the sort of tone-shaping that usually requires fuddling with a graphic EQ. The combo is light, which is nice, but I actually found it a little too big to be called mini.

I have tried this Markbass extensively when in search for a new bass amp. The sound is good but, heaving read the glowing reviews, I was a bit disappointed. The sound is deep, true, but it tends towards pushy and a bit muffled. I was surprised by this, because Markbass was supposed to have such good definition.

The owner of one of the shops where I tried this amp, who had an big selection of high-quality bass amps, told me that he had difficulty selling this particular combo. People usually settled for something else, and so did I (for an AER amp one). He suspected that the problem is the quality of the speakers rather than the amp: he did sell Markbass heads with other cabinets. The Mini CMD115 is a good amp, but for the price you expect something great, which it just isn't.

I sold my Eden -WT800 & 210XLT cab and replaced it with this kickass combo! For big gigs I pair this with the 4x10 Markbass cab.

The amp is quiet and the overall sound quality is amazing.
You can adjust the sound to match your particular style.
I use this with the DigiTeck BNX3.
Sound techs are amazed by the Mini CMD 151P with the huge sound.
Great projection and this baby is easy to move and transport to a gig.

I've been gigging for over 30 years.
I'd love to have two of these together on either side of the stage!
I used to think Eden was the best, but that changed with Markbass.
My mouth dropped the moment I heard the combo.

I wanted a bass combo to replace a Trace Elliot and that would provide great sounds out of the box without major fiddling. It has simple and highly effective tone controls... no gimmicks.

The sound is deep, pure and powerful. Drive it hard and it doesn't falter. It's amazing that this richness and clarity can come from a combo this size and weight. Most importantly, I found that the tone controls on my Jazz bass suddenly became much more usable... I could refine my tone much more accurately. It's probably a good reference amp for basses in terms of judging their tone. My band has three guitarist/singers a drummer and keyboard player. This amp produces a tone that sits under everything and doesn't fight with the Roland keyboard rig, enhancing our overall sound.

Just bought it. Carpet covering attracted my cat, so a cover is needed. Top amp placement like the old Vox AC30 means you have to watch out for stuff dropping in the connection holes. I hear nothing but good things, and the dealer, Sounds Great in Cheadle is first class, so I am not worried.

I would say this is an amp for life, and I have been playing for 30 years so far (few more to go I hope). I like pure bass tones and this amp in combination with my Fender Jazz has given me the possibility to explore technique and sound shaping in far greater depth. It's simple to set up and sounds amazing. The only thing I might do is buy a 2x10 extension cab.

I play it with a Fender american standart and a Epiphone Jack Casady.
It's perfect for blues or any style you prefer.
It's dead quiet,I alway play it with all settings flat.
Maybe a little VLE at 11 o'clock for some "tuby" sound.
There is no distortion at all.
I fint it better then my Ampeg SVT 3 pro,SVT 410e,SVT 15e stack !!!
Louder,more power,cleaner,punschier,very light,smaller cabinet and even warmer.
