The R500 comes with a 2 year warrenty and is light wieght versatile amp. It has a JJ tube preamp. I use it at large venues and the tone and power are incredible.

Sound Quality : 10
This amp will break up great if you choose. It is very close to an svt in tone but snappier and quicker attack for funk and slap. I play a Stingray 5 and a Fender Jazz American 5. It can go from clean to nasty with a cut through the mix attack.

Reliability : 10
Two year warrenty from GC and have never had a hint of a problem Very well built and I do not carry a backup !!

Customer Support : 9
I am not sure about support as company is in Italy and I can't speak Italian. I do know that guitar center stands behind them and that is good enough for me.

Overall Rating : 10
This is a killer amp for rock and slap tones. It's sound cuts thruogh the mix alot better than eden and wieghs like a feather !! If it were lost or stolen I would definately replace with the same amp !!!

Mine is a 2008 model...I play melodic hard rock, works great for that..single channel, 4 band eq, no nonsense plug and play...has fx loop which is just OK...has preamp tube for warmth..separate line out for the sound guy, perfect. Live I've used this with the Markbass 104HF and 151HR cabs, awesome! I love this amp but upgraded to the Classic 300 All Tube Head because I was competing with 100 Marshall heads/stacks

Sound Quality : 9
Peavey Foundation basses with super ferrites...sounded great, no issues..I'm a basic guy, nothing technical, I love plug and play...

Reliability : No Opinion
Used it for 9 months before upgrading, without a backup, top quality piece of gear for a reasonable amount of money..

Customer Support : No Opinion
never dealt with Markbass...never any issues, comes with a 2 year Warranty...Guitar Center distributes them, swap it for a new one on the spot!

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing for 20 years as a Guitarist before switching to Bass, this is the Shiznit...I'm very fond of my Markbass gear, it's all I need...Tone and portability wise, you cannot beat it...

Bought this amp just a month ago, in the Netherlands.
This amp is made in Italy, and it's brand new (serial number 22).
It's a no nonsense one-channel straight forward design.
I like the esay tone control setup, just 4 controls bass, mid-bass, mid treble and treble.
The amp can be switched silence for tuning by means of a jack in front where a switch can be connected. Wish it had a mute-switch on the front panel.
The light weight is also a nice feature!

Sound Quality : 10
This is where this amp shines!
A big wonderfull sound! I use it with a standard 4x10" Markbass cabinet. I have a Spector Euro bass and I play in a rock coverband.
For this kind of music this amp setup is just great! There's a preamp tube in the first stage and this can give a very good tuby sound.
There's plenty of headroom! Power enough. No noise at all.

Reliability : No Opinion
I just have this amp one month, no problems.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have not dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing bass guitar for almost 7 years now. I play mainly rock covers.
If this amp would be lost I would buy it again!
I compared to EBS (too expensive and sounds less), Eden (sounds good but also much more expensive), Ashdown, Peavey, Ampeg (too expensive).
This amp just has everything I need for playing bass.
Just try this amp!!!!
