eight ten inch speakers, about 46" tall, celestion 7442's I beleive? I do not know when my cab was made... the whole cabinet is 120 watts (the 10 inchers are 15 watts a piece) made as a bass guitar extension cab. But I use it for guitar as the reviewer below this one did also.
no casters make it a bit of a pain to move...mono cabinet, but it is what I wanted anyways...

Sound Quality : 8
First of all, I use this for Electric Guitar.
This cabinet is very very responsive to any amp, even more than my 412 cabinet... especially to the amp's equalization settings, the slightest touch of any of the settings makes the cabinet sound different... which is what it is supposed to do. I love that, there has been too many times where I'd wanted to sell my amp because I thought it was not versatile enough, then I played it through this cab and now I am happy with it again... The sound from this cabinet is very projected in a way that it sounds completely different off axis, I'm not too pleased with that, but it is loud enough to be heard almost anywhere in the vacinity of the cab. A negative- the cabinet has enough airspace to not dampen the speaker cone movement enough so that they bottom/"woof" out with any new age metal chugging. Although too much bass can have that effect, toning the bass down will cure that to the point where you can chug without an issue. Cleans sound pristine through this cab, nice and punchy and defined, I've fallen in love with my clean channel all over again.
distortion, if not over emphasized, sounds about as defined as you can need, even at extremely high gain needs... this cabinet can feedback quite alot if you are too close to it... but the sound is cleaner even when driven hard than anything i've played though yet.

heavy as me and made of thick plywood...

I've been playing for 13 years, and have always wanted a tall cab in my arsenal, and now I can finally be proud to own something so signifigant and rare as this piece of history is now my favorite weapon in my collection. I've idolized this cab the first time I saw one about 8 years ago... and have always wanted one ever since.
the sound is punchy and pristine, and it's looks are to die for. If somebody would steal this, they would seize to exist.

Just rediscovered in my basement, covered for over 4 years is my 8x10 Marshall basket weave Bass Cabinet. I am back playin 70-80s Arena/Metal hard rock.I was tired of the western ny club scene and needed a break i almost previously played for non stop for 15 years weekends! Sometimes you have to doubt the hype you hear on old gear or the real expensive crap that floods are stores these days..Read on!!

Sound Quality : 10
This is a a Sonic icon!! Forget the Bass..Its true and true a Lead Cab..It has been played thru/Mesa 50 cals/JMC800/JMC900/peavey/Twins/Marshall Mark2/ Since i owned it for 15 years. My god the tone is prestine tight punchy mids/focused lows and crisp Highs..Forget it modern mud players theres not enough low end detune kaos for you..But if you play Hard rock/country/70/80s metal it is the King!!I have played thru many cab configs in my day but this is the best..Into pinch Harmonics? Whammy dives or trills? clean and clear!! at this point iam using a 4x12 jcm 800 4x12 and the 8x10 with a custom pedal board/digitech/boss/vox etc thru a music man 130 hd clean..My pedals for the tones (front load) Its quiet warm and sounds as good better than any of the ""live stuff we heard 15-20 years ago! Axes include Peavey Wolf Gang(Hot) Gibson 76 explorer/Gibson Les Jr p-90s And a 71 Fender Strat. After all thats said and done the Marshall s still the tone shaper!!!

Reliability : 10
Its a basket weave made in 1966...Need i say more!!!..Its played at moderate to high volume for the past 35 plus years..Tolex is a tad ripped...I think it has another 50 years after me!!
