Great sounding cab, but should be for the size. Handled most bass and styles easily.

Pretty reliable, but as some else noticed, it's as if the speaker cones aren't tough enough for the drivers as the cones crease after a while around the edges. I didn't notice any major difference in sound but it isn't really good. I had to replace one aftyer the cab fell of the back of the truck and the magnet came away from the speaker frame. No prob, cheap replacement from marshall. Vinyl covering covering comes off after a few years use as do all marshalls, and horn control knob broke after a few years from being smacked on truck floors.

Marshall customer service is brilliant. I fel sorry for all you non-Brits who can't sample the factory service direct, as they are truly great.

I bought this new with the dbs 7400 head and a 2 x 15 dbs cab, and used it loads for nearly 10 years on about 1000 gigs. Always sounded good, got asked to turn down loads of times (always agood thing !). Speakers (made by eminence) could be a bit stonger in the cone department, More recessed horn control would be good and if marshall used a tougher vinyl covering one day, we could all rejoice.

If I remember correctly these cabs were only imported to the U.S. from 1995 to 1996. From what I've heard Marshall stopped importing them cause sales were to low because of the costs for these cabs and the head were so high. It is an 800 watt cabinet with four 200 watt eminence speakers and a high frequency horn with a volume control. It is extremely punchy sounding and is very loud. I have a 7410 (4x10 cab), 7412 (4x12 cab), and a 7215 (2x15 cab) with the 7400 DBS (dynamic bass system) head. They are all a part of the Marshall DBS system.

I am very familar with these cabs cause I bought mine brand new in 1996 and two of my friends had each bought them new also. The 7410s are prone to speaker problems. They will start creasing in the cones which leads to speaker failure. I noticed that each one of the 200 watt eminence spekers had creases around the voice coil after about 3 years of use. Back then I had band practice 2 to 3 time a week. Luckily the speakers were still under warranty and they were all replaced. My friends weren't so lucky. The tech who changed out my speakers said that Marshall told him that this was a problem with these speakers. No solution from Marshall though cause they put the same speakers in my cab. I haven't played it since. I still am a loyal Marshall user though cause everything else my band uses (a 2203Zakk Wylde head, the DBS 7400 head (bought in 1995) and cabs, DSL50 head, and 1960 lead cabs etc) have all performed flawlessly and sound awesome.

The warranty for this cab was three years. The speakers were replaced promptly but with the exact same speakers. A rating of 5 since Marshall knew these speakers were having problems and not finding another speaker to replace them.

I've been playing bass for 17 years. Definitely stay away from this cab and the 7210 (the 2x10 model I believe have the same speakers). The 7215 and 7412 are great cabs though.

This is a 1993 model 4x10 bass cabinet with horn. It has Neutrix inputs. I think it is rated for 700 watts. It is indestructible.

I play roots rock. I never really thought that Marshall was a bass amp company. That said, this cabinet blows me away. I have played SWR, Mesa Boogie & Eden. I hate the weight of this cabinet, but when it comes to bass, weight can be a good indicator of quality. This thing weighs 127 lbs. You will not find another 4x10 that is within 30 lbs of this monster. If you have the power to drive it, the DBS 7410 can do anything. It keeps a low B tight, and at the same time is not limited at the high end.
This is the best sounding cabinet I have ever owned.

My drummer borrowed this from me and never gave it back. Instead he sent me a check for my original purchase price.
I searched high and low for another one of these, but I have not been able to find one.
I replaced it with an SWR Goliath JR (2x10) & SWR Big Ben (1X18) that I run Bi-Amped.
I would gladly trade my SWR cabinets for the Marshall DBS 7410.
