The cab has great features including the normal/bright switch on the back. The horn control is also much better that any other cab I've used.

I run this cab with a Mesa Bass Buster 200 watt tube head, a custom Fender Jazz, and tons of effects. This cab is the perfect example of what a rig should be. The 15 handles the lows beautifully, and the 410's give it amazing clarity and punch. I've always used 610's and 810's, and they all cower in this cab's shadow....although the shadow is not that big considering the whole thing is smaller than even my last 610. The best sounding cab on the market.

I've had this cab for about a year, and I play through it at full show volume at least 3-4 times a week. It has never popped, failed, or even shaken. The only thing that happened is one of the wheels on the back split in half longways. Strange way to break, but it actually still rolls better than my Ampeg cabs ever did.

I actually only have an opinion through second hand. The guy I bought this from purchased it straight from Mesa, and the 15 had a bug or something and it blew almost right away. Mesa of course offered to replace the 15 with no questions asked. Once he expressed concern that the whole cab might have been sub par, they replaced the whole thing without batting an eye! He sold it to me about a month later, so I got a brand new one for almost nothing.

I have been playing bass for a few years, but have classical training in other instruments which not to be arrogant has made me fairly proficient. The bass has been the only one that I have so deeply involved myself in, and I have become a tone JUNKY in every way. I have owned almost every amp out there. SWR, AMPEG, Hartke, Acoustic Control (vintage), Sunn, Gallien Krueger. Truthfully only GK's came close, but even then they are miles behind this cabinet. So far this cab has been the longest standing staple in my arsenal, and I would rob the salvation army to get another one if mine was stolen.

I just purchased a 2007 model Powehouse 1000, it has black rhino, and a silver metal grill. It was on sale for $599 (unbelievable right? True though!) I got this cab for free... well except for a trade in... Two Peavey cabs and a cheap SWR 4004 head for this monster was more that a fair trade - it was the deal of the century! This cabinet has amazing versitility. The player control or whatever Mesa calls it (the rear panel) really works! You can set the cabs crossover to, sheen, normal, or bright. There is also a dial to control the high range... How ever you like to set it, you would have a hard time running to much power to this cabinet - it is a beast. The M-Pulse 600 I have, can be run wide open and it doesn't even phase this cab.

I play a 2002 MM Stingray and use a M-Pulse 600 with this cabinet. I play mostly rock and hard rock - which is perfect for this amplifier. It can be dialed in to really cut through. Playing with a pick really highlights the punchy attack this cabinet is capable of. If a bright sound is not your thing - no problem, you can easily adjust the back panel (along with your amp, and guitar) and get a deep but still tight sound. The one sound you won't hear is the loose muddy sound many lesser cabinets produce. I have not even been able to adjust my way to anything in the neighborhood of that type of sound. I have only one complaint with this cabinet - I am used to playing a full stack (five feet+ tall), this cab is considered a full stack by definition, but it's not that tall.... Here's why I mention that; I just had a gig, and the sound guy took me all but out of the mains because the Mesa was so lound, he also kept having me turn down - so because of a combination of low volume, amp height, and a very cramped stage, I couldn't hear it believe it or not. This is no fault of the product, just a detail worth mentioning. I am going to build a 24" riser so that never happens again. Aside from that - I freakin love this cabinet!

I have no idea.. I can tell you that the cab is HEAVY! Something like 140 pounds.... YIPES. I absolutely can's imagine any problems. There have been a few people on the net reporting problems, but these appear to be anomalies. Mesa is know for reliability - - it's quality American made gear!

I have called for info, and they were great. I haven't needed anything important and doubt that I will, but I am confident that they would take care of whatever came up.

I love this cabinet, it's my holy grail of bass cabinets. I now am lucky enough to own my dream rig - MM Stringray, M-Pulse 600, and Powerhouse 1000. If someone stole it I would freak out. This entire rig cost me $2000 - all three pieces retail for a total of $4200 ish. I would likely never get another one... and I would be totally bummed.
If I was to wish for anything - I would wish for a roadie to carry it.
Buy MESA, buy it now, you won't regret it! New Ampeg has lost it - so either buy vintage Ampeg or buy MESA!!

This cabinet caught my attention in a music store and I first tried it out with a big Block 750 from Mesa also. It sounded great, this cab can really handle a 5 string and overdrive really well.
I use an all tube Ampeg SVT II (non-pro) and I am currently using 2 basses, an Ibanez SRX 700 and a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass.
The Ibanez sounds amazing through this setup my guitarists, vocalist and drummer all wanted to play my bass because it sounded so amzing through the all tube head and this amazing cabinet. My Fender GL Jazz bass sounds great for blues and rock on this setup also. I am going to add DiMarzio Model J pickups to get more output and growl-which will be gutrenching for rock bass with the help of the Mesa Powerhouse 1000.
This cab is amazing, perfect for my style. I play Hard Rock, Metal(mainly thrash metal), some Blues.
I do get hi's from the tweeter and the 10"s but this cab is very midrangy and great at what it does. I wanted an all-in-one package and that's what I got. It combines punch and warmth.
I used to have a Peavey TVX 410, it was a pain to move and needed a 15" for more low's. The Mesa Powerhouse is perfect, I can't say it enough!

Mesa Quality Control is unbeatable.
I custom ordered mine Black Rhino on a Black Metal grille.
This thing is as much of a tank as my SVT II (non-pro).
It's made with rails on the back so you can lay it back and put it in an SUV. The wheels are durable and it has a foot kickback so you can transport it easily. Even the handrips for moving it with the wheels are well placed.

5 year warranty and I believe a 1 year warranty on the speakers.
The 5 years warranty is transferable, so if you buy it from someone who's had it doe less than 5 years, the warranty transfers to you.
I dealt with Mesa a good amount because I custom ordered it and these people are very friendly, quick to respond and will e-mail you if they can not call.

For Rock styles and Blues this Cabinet is excellent. Worth every penny. It's versatile enough for Jazz and other styles.
It is 135 pounds, but MESA Engineering made it to have ease in transportation. It has handgrips on the sides which make it very easy to carry, the whells are great the kickback is strong and sturdy.
This bass helps me hold it down and is perfect. Strong mids, serious low's with the 15 gives it warmth. I can hear myself really well next to a Marshall JCM 2000 and a pounding drummer, and they can hear me too.

This bass cab is the mother of all cabs! I've had mine for about 9 years now along with a mesa 18" stand alone cab and this setup is SICK. I use a SWR 350 head and it pushes PLENTY of power to both cabinets. Rest assured it WILL rattle your brain. I've seen a few complaints about not having a powerfull enough head to push it, but my SWR 350 sounds great, puts out that slight natural distortion to the speakers. Add an overdrive pedal and this setup flat out ROCKS! The ONLY complaint I have about this cabinet is the weight. This thing weighs 186 lbs. and for a touring musician that moves his own gear, its a pain in the arse. I'm considering selling it off and getting something more compact but I'm afraid it will kill my sound. I use this cabinet in the rehersal room and on the road.

I use a LTD ESP bass with passive EMG's w/ an active EQ. I play hard rock/metal/slap styles and this baby delivers the goods right to your grill.

Like I said, had it for almost 10 years, its traveled a long ways and I've never even worried about a back up. Still using the factory stock speakers, all thumping still. No problems....ever.

I've been playing for 16 years. I also own the mesa boogie 18" stand alone cab, 2 Ibanez SR 450 bass' and a ESP F255 LTD bass. The Boss 350B effects processor. Sabine rack tuner, Alesis M-EQ.
If it were ever lost or stolen I think I would try something difft. just because of the weight of this thing.

O.K., the Powerhouse 1000, excellent cabinet. A 15" and (4) 10" configuration backed by a horn. I personally don't like the new Boogie grills. I prefer the old 'diesel' style, but hey, that's just me.

O.K., sound. This is where it gets sticky kids. This cabinet is capable of producing some awesome sounds. It is very well designed and capable of handeling 1000watts (according to Boogie anyway). The only problem is...Boogie doesn't make a head that will push this cabinet efficiently enough (if you're thinking the M-Pulse 600, read my review on that one and you will understand). I had my cabinet for about three month before trading it off but I believe that with another head (I had the M-Pulse 600) that this cabinet would have worked out very well, it is very well designed and seems to be very rugged.

The cabinet is brand new. It is the god of mesa cabinets. It has four tens (one in each corner) and a fifteen right in the middle with a horn on the upper right. I just picked it up a week ago. I finally got a chance to use it live and it kicks me hard. It will work for any style because of the speaker combinaton

I play a Peavey Cirris 5 Stirg with active electronics. The head is a Peavey Firebass 700 and it handles everything down to the b with ease. It definetly fills out a room. So clean, No effort. I almost shattered a window in my house.

I have played for a long time and played a lot of gear. I want a second cabinet just because I like to have a wicked look when I play.
It weighs a ton (about 100 pounds) but not as much as an ampeg 810 or simalar products. And it blows them out of the water. Just try it
