I had an american made ampeg 8x10 at the time i bought this cabinet and let me tell you ampeg are good bass cabs but the mesa 8x10 blows it away hands down. the ampeg is extremly muddy next to the mesa and the mesa is MUCH louder! the lower freq. is also sounds more full and clear the highs are crisp as you will ever get in a bass cab and are perfect for me sence i play in a metal band.I probably will never get rid of it for the rest of my life.

Reliability : 10
This cab has never failed me not once very solid cab nothing could beat it truly built to take almost anything you can throw at it.If you break this cab its because you were sticking a screwdriver through the grill into a speaker.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never even needed to think about customer support.

Overall Rating : 10

2005 model. Player's control section. Silver metal grill. Bronco silver tolex. Tilt-back rolling design. 175 lbs. 4 ohm.

I love almost everything about this cab. It not only has an adjustable tweeter, but an adjustable tweeter frequency selection! The tone is loud, tight, focused, but able to be aggressive when needed. My Ampeg SVT-810E was a little bit lighter and easier to move, but I don't mind the extra effort for the extra tone! BTW, this cab looks as good as it sounds.

Sound Quality : 9
I go back and fourth between my Ampeg SVT-2 Pro and Mesa/Boogie Bass 400+ heads on this cab. A SansAmp Bass Driver DI is often used as a preamp. Various Warwick, Rickenbacker, Fender, and MusicMan basses have been used for my tests.

The PH 8x10 is a great Rock/Metal/General Use cabinet. It can get some growl out of it, but can remain focused and deep when the time comes. It's just a great, loud, all-around cab. It has a more pronounced low-frequency response than most 810's that I've used. The mids are nice and flat. The highs are natural but glassy.

Reliability : No Opinion
I've only had the cab for a short time. So far, it has taken a bit of a beating and still looks/works perfect.

Customer Support : 1
I've emailed them in the past about different things. They've never emailed me back. Not good.

Overall Rating : 8
If I could only pick one 810 cab to use for the rest of my life, this one would be it. Yeah, it has a heavy price tag. You get what you pay for.
