the amp was probably made in 1998 or 99. The cab is pretty standard. it includes a 4 ohm 1/4'' input, and an output to daisy chain out to another cab. (seems retarded considering that if daisy chained the amp would pull 2 ohm which would kill most amps.)I wish it had a tweeter but this model came out just before the tweeters were put in. I use it for both practice and rehearsal. It's tough as most peavey crap is. during the warm months it stays outside in the poolhouse were i practice. it handles about 400 watts. The peavey handles are also very nice better than many other kinds, and placed appropriately. The speakers are shettefields or whatever the crappy standard one's are (a.k.a. not black widow)Very basic

Sound Quality : 4
I play an esp 5 string with emg pickups through an plder 70's model ampeg, which i love. It has such i great sound that i recording going direct from the amp to pro tools. In the store itried it and it sounded good for the price so i bought it. After 3 months a speaker started to go, it pisses me off insanely considering that it was suppose to handle well over 240 watts, which is what my amp is and doesn't get turned up past 12 o-clock. now it gets to the point where i can't have a solo when playing live because the speaker will rattle. It pisses me. also it doesn't have a tweeter which would help the horrible tonal range that it has. Which is surprising considering 4 10s are generally excellent at covering tone range. very cheap speakers. grille rattles i removed it. Partially because peavey is so embarrasing in the studio.

Reliability : 10
the thing is reliable! Peavey spends all of the time making a cabinet that would survive falling off the back of a truck. the cabinet construction is so great i gutted the speakers out and put celestions in, and took the grill of that had the peavey symbol on it. The rating is for just the cabinet construction. Not the speakers. The speakers suck ass as far as dependability go.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Peavey, nobody knows where it comes from. I just know there is a dedicated dealer in my town that covers there gear, but mine was on consignment and not covered by the store.

Overall Rating : 3
it's a good strong cabinet. 200 dollars was well worth it just for the cabinet. invest a little more in it and you'll create an excellent sounding 4 -10 cab. just by removing the speakers and anything that says peavey on it. Peavey is terrible as far as sound qaulity goes. when i was talking to my boss at the recording studio i work at he said that peavey only tries to createw something that is cheap to make and cheap to sell it's only aimed at beginner musicians. and i learned that when recorrding a cirrus bass and noticing that whenopened up it's shielded poorly! amazing for the price which i believe is 2000 dollras. how can peavey rip musicians off so easily? It's time for musicians to deman a descant product from peavey. contact me if you want to ask questions. aslo contact me if you know how black widows sound i'm sorta interested.
