i will coppy and paste the features just beacause i am lazy lol . you can read below what they are i will coment on them ;.
as far as being rated at 225 watts,after trying it with many difernt speaker setups i found you must have the right combination of speakers to get it to put out its maximum power and set the switchable ohm switch on the back to the proper setting.;at first playing it thru 2x10 an 1x15 i thought it was broke.; it made the speakers sound like crap.; after messing around with difernt speaker combinations and ohm setings it sounded good like a tube amp should.
pay atention i said good not great.; i think you would have better luck if you bought a peavey cabinet that matched the amp, altho i trryed it with my 18210 peavey cabinet at 4 ohms and didnt like it lol
i used a tryad of basses for my tests a f jazz a p bass an a ibanez atk bass.; as far as the power it is NOT the monster they claim it to be so if you play loud be prepared to use suplimental amps and use this just to get those tube harmonics which it doese just ok not great
the presence knob realy doesnt do anything nor doese the resonance knob maybe my ears are broke lol ,.,. i changed out the two 12ax7 tubes to 5751
which i like better

Sound Quality

sound quality is good it reminds of a flip top ampeg b15 sound but louder .; my favorate tube bass amp was my marshal major 200 which this vb2 doesnt come anywere close in power or tube warmth.;it is pretty quiet when idle ;. its power is comparible to a 125 watt solid state amp again it is NOT the monster amp they advertise and is priced way to expensive ;. i am verry happy i payed only 495 dollars for this amp that is all it is worth and i will probably have a hard time if i want to sell it.;.; the music stores online wanted 900 dollars for it .; i was lucky to find someone who bought it and didnt like it.;.;

TRY THIS AMP BEFORE you buy it i didnt and should have;. i will prolly use this for a tube preamp for my outher solid state pv and swr and hartke amps and look for a more powerfull tube amp.;;.a note i took it apart and it looks like it is part solid state and part tube amp lots of pcb bords ;. another thing bothers me the tubes dont do that dimming thing when played at full throttle like my marshal did;. remember this is just my opinion bottom line is not worth $900
