Don't know the year, guessing early eighties, 800 watts of solid state, Back Breaking power!!, bi-Amp, from what I gathered , it's a CS800 Power Head mated up with a Pre Amp..Earth Shattering Volume

Playing in a Cover Band , mostly in small to medium sized clubs, ..no need to mike it or DI..mostly cuz we're using a bare bones PA, with way smaller speakers than I'm lugging around...
Driving Peavey 1810 & 410 TX Bottoms with it,
Just pretty much pure sound reproduction, no effects or anything fancy,
Play a G&L 2000, and assorted 5 strings I've picked up along the way

Haven't had any trouble yet (knock wood)

Can't find any manuals on Peaveys website, just too old I guess, but if anybody who reads this knows anything about it, get back to me, I know I'm not using it to it's full potential

Been playing guitar since I was 10, not very well, but..lets see, that's almost 40 years now..damn, everyones getting older but me!!
I'd buy another one, I guess, but good luck finding one, with all my searching for any kind of info on the web (Google) I haven't been having much luck turning up any info on it...

Multiple Access Ampification System.don't hear or see much about these, i think they quit making them early 80's. overall this head has versatility oozing out of it. 1 channel, 2 power sections for bi-amping (400 rms solid state EACH!!!!)or can switch to full range, 8 band rotary EQ, crossover knob, push/pull bright and punch boost. high low balance knob in back. high, low, full range effects loops and line outs. high, low Z outs for Direct in. 4 speaker jack, and 2 connections for bare wires, they screw on a post?don't use'em. and a big Fan to keep it all cool. weighs about 80 lbs built into its own rack/flight case. this amp is just borderline of being too much of everthing, weight, power, complication. but i said borderline!! i love this amp in that if i need a feature...... hey i can do that!!!

i'm a peavey die hard, i play an early t-40 (later ones with the blade in the pickup suck)(read t-40 reviews, great bass!)i run 2 newer 410tx cabs(high pass) and 2 vintage 1810 cabs(low pass) so thats 1600 watts pushing 12-10" and 2-18" woofers, its difficult to breath if you stand to close:) i play funk and rock type stuff. cranked up there's no hiss, no ground problems, but thats probably that bass. the tone is pretty straight forward and clean, EQ actually makes a difference in tone and bright and punch boosts really pack a punch, just wish they could be footswitched. but tone wise,it sound's like a peavey!way better than a crate, not as good as ampeg. sounds like a TKO combo on steroids. it could push 4 8x10's, but thats absurd. the biamping feature Rules!!! control of the direction of the highs and lows sounds great.full range sounds good, but its kinda boring and bland.

so far so good, peavey has a good reputation. The high input jack messes up sometimes, got to make sure the cord is anchored, but thats replacable. i would use without backup.

been playing about 14 yrs. other gear consist of mentioned bass (matching mint t-60) Mxr bass DI. crybaby. if lost,i might replace it IF i could find another,or i'd probably replace it with a mesa 400+, or a peavey 400 classic.i chose this one(acually just dicovered it on ebay on day, never heard of it before) chose it for power for the price, but i like it, its got balls, decent tone, and the rack case is bulletproof,
