This amp was probably from the early 80's. made in USA 10" praclice amp. It was my starter amp. Very simple, 2 inputs, volume, bass, mid, treble, output, headphone out. No featues missing from what the amp was designed to be, but nothing to wow you either.

The basses I played through it were a Washburn Force 8, and a '92 Fender Jazz. The Minx did a good job of making those basses louder, but that's about it. I remember it sounding kinda flat, but I must say it sounded better then some of the amps in its class that are being sold today. The Minx isn't as tinnie as other Fender practice amps I've come across, and I never heard a Crate that sounded any better.

This amp went through hell and back. It had been dropped several times, rolled around the back of a pickup truck, and someone tried unsuccessfully to steal the speaker, but it just kept going. Hell, the tolex never even had any tears, so as much as I hate to do it, I have to give it a 10 in this category.

For a cheap practice amp, you could do a lot worse. In fact after I traded it, the place ssold it in 2 days. If you need an apartment-size amp, this ain't to shabby, but don't expect anything too spectaculr.
