The Pro 210 is a front-shelf ported cab with two Blue Marvel 1056 cast-frame speakers and the same tri-flex hi frequency horn that Peavey has been using for a dozen years. The input panel has an attenuator for the horn, a pair of 1/4 inch jacks, and binding posts. The impedance is four ohms.
The literature says that the cab is made of a special lightweight 1/2 inch thick plywood. And it really does seem to weigh nothing - especially compared to the 4x10 that it's replacing!

I'm a weekend warrior playing MOR covers with a '62 J bass or a '78 Ric 4000 through a Peavey T-Max head. The larger our PA becomes, the less room I have in the trailer for my rig. (OK, I might be getting older also) I had been playing through a Peavey 410 TX for years - simple, basic, adequate, but VERY inefficient by today's standards. I bought the Pro 210 to save some space and weight. The Pro 210 has the same depth on the bottom, and is much smoother on the high end. The literature says that Peavey raised the crossover freq to 4k. I like what I hear. And the specs aren't lying - the Pro 210 is MUCH LOUDER than my old 410.

I'd absolutely gig without a backup.

Haven't needed them. When I was thinking about buying a new cab and looking at specs, I did appreciate being able to go to the Peavey website and get the product literature.

I've been playing for 35 years, and I'm long past that point where the equipment has to make a visual impact on the stage. For the music we play this single 2x10 with 350 watts driving it sounds clean, full, and well-balanced. I bought it as the "floor demo" unit from a Peavey dealer who was just ready to move it out the door. I think I got a bargain!
