Made in 2004. Sounds great for my style (fingerstyle rock). A "new" type of 10" speaker from Peavey (very high wattage and very loud). The cabinet is heavy (96lbs) and built like a tank. Has decent casters (thank god). Tough metal grill. Ported on top and bottom (shelf ports). Looks very much like an Eden 410XLT. A tweeter that actually sounds good...I use "on" all of the time. The volume of the tweeter is adjustable in back with a rotary knob. 700 watts continuous and 8ohms. Peavey makes a 4ohm version as well. I use a Mesa Boogie Bass 400+. Very loud, compact set up.

I play an MIA Jazz Bass V through a Mesa Bass 400+ into this cabinet. Very, very loud...plenty of bass, mids and treble (without being too trebly). Sounds great for my style (fingerstyle rock, punk).

Been playing for 16 years through many good and bad cabs. This is the best I've owned or played through. A very BIG sound from a 4X10"....I was very pleasantly surprised. I do love it (nothing about it I don't like...except it's heavy).

Features: Ported on top and bottom with really solid carrying handles and casters with high-impact corners covered in that black carpeting that cats really love to dig their claws into. Only gripe that I have is I wish two of the casters would lock, cause this thing will move all by itself when you really start driving it. It would also help in the van so it wouldn't roll around. I have to lay it flat during transport and that takes up floor space.

I'm playing a "south-of-the-border" Fender Jazz with stock pickups into the Behringer BX3000T head. This combination of amp and cab really rock. I took the amp head, bass and some other gear that I use over to the music store and tried the amp through a variety of cabs. Ampeg 410 (not sure which one), Mesa-Boogie 4x10, Ampeg SVT810E, Ampeg Porta-Bass 2x12, Eden 4x10 and and Eden 2x10 with a 1x15. The only cab that came close to the Peavey was the Portabass 2x12, but the Portabass just didn't have the "wall of sound" that I was looking for. I play in a power-trio, mostly southern-rock and blues with some Motown thrown in for good measure. The drummer has a preety loud kit and then he mics the kick and tom through a Powered Mackie 15 Sub. I needed something to be able to get over the sub and I don't like to send that much into the mains. I like the bass right behind me and be able to feel it developing out into the room and this cab is fantastic for the style we play which is Jam-Band, southern-blues rock, close the bar and set the walls on fire kinda stuff.

This cab is solid as hell and I drive it preety hard with no problems yet. I like to think that I will break a string during a gig before this cab will have a problem. Even the casters are sturdy as hell. Take the abuse of parking lots, gravel and rocks and keep on rolling.

Haven't had to contact Peavey over this cab, but I do know from experience that their customer service is great. Our mixer, power amp, monitors and mixer are all Peavey and I have had to contact them for other stuff over the years and they have never failed me.

Been playing bass for about 2 years. But I fancied myself a guitar player for over 20. It wasn't until I picked up a bass at a jam session and started fooling around that I knew I was home. As for other equipment,my amp is the Behringer BX3000T, Boss TU2 tuner, Monster Bass cable. I read the reviews on the BX3000T and that many people couldn't be wrong. So I decided to invest my money in the cab. Just like stereo days. Cheap speakers will make a great audio system sound bad. Good speakers will make most low end amps sound great. That sure is true in the case. If it were lost or stolen and if I could afford it at the time I would get another one. But I traded in my Ampeg BA115 and a Fender 212R against this cab so that was $400 right there. I chose this this cab for the way it sounded with my bass head. I didn't really care how much it cost. I cared about the way it sounded and I compared this cab to many others. Eden, Ampeg, EBS, Mesa Boogie, SWR, etc. The Peavey won out.
