My Rig is a 1979 Session 400 BW equipped model with a few circuit modifications as most of these have been tweaked for Steel Guitar players.
I use this Rig with various Hot Rodded Strat type guitars EG my strats all have a P90 Humbucking P-up in the Bridge and Bare Knuckle scatter wounds in the Mid/Neck.
We play smokin jazzy bluesy Rockabilly with those country undertones and this Amp along with my Line6 XT Live certainly give a great sound together.
The Session 400 has 210 watts of power through a Black Widow 15 inch speaker more than enough for medium sized gigs and a good pure tone too, for a tweeked up solid state combo origonally built for Pedal steel players.

This rig is buzz and hum free due to the capacitor mods. The toppy punchy sound suits our musical style extremely well and delivers bags of harmonics.
This amp is a solid state amp it's as clean as a whistle in the sound department, with a bit of external drive, some slap back echo it sounds more vintage than.........yep vintage.
The volume is incredible loud and just plain louder but it stays clean with no clip.

This amp has had some mods and a transformer repair but even despite it's 29 year build history it's a beauty and I'd pay top dollar to keep it running.

I've been playing for over 30 years I have all manner of Amps from valve Fenders to line6 Vetta II's and other Peavey gear.
But I always drag this old monster out for gigs it's fantastic.
If I ever found another I would buy it hands down, if i had it stolen I'd scour the planet for a replacement.
It's a simple Solid state amp with great tone, bags of power, and suits my style of music, and guitars extremely well, not for metal ,rock or shredders but for twanging slap back rockajazzabluesabilly it shines.

i use a telecaster with a boss me 30 multi effects pedal.it sounds amazing with the boss any other amp i try to use with the pedal sounds shallow.i play heavy guitar.i have been using it lately as a head for my bass.along with a acoustic 361 18 inch cab and a sunn concert bass head which does not power up but gives the whole unit a warm sound.it still pounds hard.the original speaker just does not cut it for the real loud bass.

i have brought it to hell and back many times.once i left it at a bar and someone poked a hole in the dust cap of the 15 speaker.i had to carefully cut the dust cap almost completely off.lost alot of high end but it still roars.lately i had problems with the amp not having enough juice must be something loose.all i have to do is hit it a couple of time and she works fine................for a little while

This amp was bought used from a shop. I don't kow a ton about it. However I do know that this amp is a solid state amplifier. Some of its features are a footswitch (channel changing, and reverb) 2 inputs. A external speaker output. Power there is a whole hell of a lot of it. 200 watts rms (internal) External 400 big bad watts. Alot of range and adjustabilty. it is a single 15 inch speaker. If you like a thick sound this is the amp.

I use a few guitars with the amp. I have a SRV strat, a Ibanez Iceman 300, and a ESP Kirk Hammet signature. I play in a band that is mostly a metal band. I play alot of lead mixed with rhythm this amp handles both very well. On a personaly level I strive to be the next hendrix ha ha, being serious though I play alot of blues and it is great for that as well. It is a very loud powerful amp. however it sounds good at many different levels. Clean channel stays clean even when trying to break the windows. I run the guitars through a series of pedals and a digitech rp6 pedal board.
