I own this amp since 1986
Bought it new for $450.00
It is 130 watts RMS
It has low and hi imputs, pre and post amps, active EQ, speaker extention jack, send and return jack.

Sound Quality : 8
The sound quality is good enought for a small to medium gig.
I play Gospel, Jazz and Latin jazz and it's sound suits well.
If you push it too hard it will distort, but not too bad, so it's still playable.

Reliability : 10
This amp has never quit on me. It is 22 years old and I storage it on my basement for 8 years, because i bought a mark VII, and desided to take it out for a small gig, it worked and performed like new.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never has to deal with peavey.

Overall Rating : 9
I've being playing for 26 years and own many gear.
If it is stolen, I would buy it again.
What I love about it, is reliable enought for the small gigs without a back up standing buy.
What I hate the most, It is very heavy. I put casters on it to help me with the load.

Features : 7
Active eq, variable crossover, ported 15" speaker, DDT with compression, 130 Watts RMS into 4Ohms , pre-gain pull bright, post-gain pull punch, lo, mid and hi eq, shift, shift, bandwidth, prescence, frequency control, active and passive inputs.

I like the adjustable gain for bass and treble and has proved invaluable over the years. It is powerful enough, although I wish I had bought myself an extra cab to appreciate the full power before it broke.

It is heavy as anything but I put mine on castors so it is much easier to manouver.

Sound Quality : 8
The amp copes with most styles of playing, although because of the DDT, it tends to work better towards the mid ranges and funk. The low end is fair enough but could be better. It tends to distort at relatively low levels now, although it didn't go into distortion until the gain was up to 7 or 8 for both before.

Reliability : 3
This amp worked very well until it broke. I bought it thinking Peavey would be reliable, now I wish I had bought a Trace! The speaker cone sticks and sounds almsot as if the cone has ripped, although it sorts itself out occasionally. One of the capasitors has proved faulty, and the sound goes quiet then booming loud, especially during quiet songs! I am disappointed with it and won't be buying an older Peavey, If any, a new one. If not, Trace Elliot!

Customer Support : No Opinion
The Peavey customer support is good but there was nothing they could do as it is a good few years old now.

Overall Rating : 8
It is a decent mid size venue amp and with an extra cab, it is fantastic. It is just a shame that mine broke. Don't fancy another one tho, Trace all the way! Still, I would recommend these amps, they are built like rocks(speakers obviously not!), and would probably buy a new one if mine were working but then stolen.

Features : 10
Features as described by others. SS Single channel, hi/lo gain inputs. Pre and Post Gain knobs. Pull out the pre for "bright," pull out the post for "punch." I like how both volume knobs are right there next to eachother, even though the EQ comes in before the post gain. The EQ is as follows: Low; Parametric Mid with Shift and Bandwidth Knobs; High; Presence. The sweepable mid is cool. The mid knob itself boosts or cuts the mids. The Shift determines the center frequency of the boost or cut (frequencies are marked on panel), and the Bandwidth sets it to boost/cut a narrow band of frequencies (labelled sharp on the dial) or a wide swath of mids. (labelled "broad")

Sound Quality : 9
The sweepable mids is a feature that I did not understand ten years ago when I got the amp second hand, and only after experience with much fancier pro-level amps did I understand what the midrange controls did. You can notch out frequencies that are just sounding funny in a room, or fiddle with just how you want the mids scooped for that mid-scooped slap sound. It can be drastic or subtle. Everyone talks about lows and highs-- but it's the mids that people really hear, and this amp really allows you to craft a sound. That said, the lows are plenty thumping for most folks. Having no horn like newer fancier cabs and combos, there is not as much Hi-Fi 'air' to the tone, but this is not that kind of amp.

I play a vinage Sting-style 1981 Ibanez Roadstar. Passive/Active P/J pickups with a nice fat P-Bass profile 24 fret neck. Heavy as heck. Same goes for the amp. Big and heavy, a whiff of 80's to it, versatile sound, and highly underrated.

Reliability : 10
I bought this like third hand from someone who was bailing out of the East Coast for Montana or something like 10 years ago. It did some hard duty in various basements of frat houses and worse, outdoor gigs, usually placed near large aluminum cylinders with pumps on top. It has gone through several moves, and has just come inside from a year and a half of hard time in my cold New England garage. It fired right up one hundred percent. I'd like to see my Eden Metro do that.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never needed any

Overall Rating : 10
Been playing age 12 to age 28. Eden Metro + 210XLT, SWR Workingman's 12. Several vintage tube amps for 6 string. Also play upright. Own a cheapo Yamaha Fretless. If the Peav were stolen or lost, I would yearn for another, but would not actively track one down until I needed an amp for say, long term use at someone else's rehearsal space, outdoor gig, or bar band gig that would be too big for my lighter SWR WM 12 or too dangerous for my fancy Eden rig.

Features : 10
high/low gain inputs, effects loop, crossover

130 watts solid state, loud enough for most stages unless your band plays big venues

Sound Quality : 9
use a few cheap basses and it suprisingly elevates their sound somewhat. like said in an earlier review, it doesnt distort easily and is suprisingly clear whilst (in my case) going up against the marshall stacks of the guitarists in my band

ive been able to find pretty much every sound ive wanted to get from it whether it be for agressive picking or finger playing through to chording and slapping

the treble does seem to have a bit more response than the bass to my ears but unless you like your bass wirey, i dont see that being much of a problem as the bass fills everything out smoothly and the crossover is a nice touch if you want to clear things up with a mid heavy bass sound

the best solid state combo ive heard in awhile

i was quite suprised with this as id never really been a fan of peavey guitar amps so i guess i found the one for me really

Reliability : 10
its been kept in a pretty cold practice space and hasnt been any worse for it

its never broken down since ive had it and ive really nothing to complain about with it and for what i paid for it, im not complaining haha

Customer Support : No Opinion
never had to deal with them

Overall Rating : 10
been playing for around 4 years and own a fair few pedals, amps and guitars but nothing really special or high end as i prefer to buy older gear

would look for another peavey amp if i had this one parted from me as its not glamorous or flashy but it sounds great for what i need and is also the right size so it fits the bill near perfectly

high and low gain inputs, active EQ, 130 watts solid state combo with single 15" speaker. Has effects loop, and seperate pre/post gain.

Sound Quality : 9
This would be suitable for most styles I would think, however I have played mostly rock with it. We have a garage band and this thing has tons of volume to keep up with pretty much anything. Has a nice deep thump, yet it stays clear and never sounds "muddy". I have heard better, but for the price, one of the better ones I have sampled.

Reliability : 10
No issues to date.............seems rock solid.

Customer Support : 9
Never had to use it

Overall Rating : 9
Have used this for 4 years and it has been great. Would definitley buy one again, as it is rock solid reliable and has a great tone that can keep up with pretty much anything volume wise. An SVT tube head it is not, but it is not supposed to be. One of the better solid state combo's I have come across

130 watt single 15, tuned and ported cab. Effects loop and bi-ampable, separate pre/post gain control, active EQ, crossover and high/low gain inputs.

Sound Quality : 9
Used for a variety of styles, mostly rock but really playable all around: blues, funk, country, hardcore, jazz etc. The DDT(Peavey's Distortion detection technique)works seemlessly and really expands your playing clarity and allows simple changes to be made on the fly. This thing does not distort. It produces a clear thump that is capable of going over the top for many set ups. I keep up with our 4x12 85w Traynor lead tube head!

Reliability : 10
No backup required. This thing is for serious duty. It is heavy but mine is on a cart, life is much better that way. It has a single carrying strap on the top which could be better but it has not let me down.

Customer Support : 8
Have had no service issues. Peavey website is very complete.

Overall Rating : 10
2 years with a Peavey bass and 1 with a Fender J. I would find another if this one got lost. It is so reliable and powerful enough for any stage. For a small combo I would recommend this over other samll Peaveys and I have compared it with some small heads and found the clear sound and active eq simple and efficient.
