I bought this amp new in 1993, $500 I think. I have never seen another one since. Weighs a ton, but is solid. I've dropped it off the back of a truck before and no problems. My first and still current bass amp. I have played in a variety of bands with this thing - from country to punk rock. The 2 10" speakers provide enough bottom end for country and enough mid and high for slap bass in a funk situation. Not sure how many watts - somewhere between 60 and 100, but this amp has always been plenty. Even craked up to 10 on the gain, it stays nice and clean. Gain, treble, middle, bass and compression controls. Light up On/off switch. When I need re-inforcements, I hook up an external cabinet. 2 channels. 2 speaker outputs. 1 preamp output. Solid state. Cheesy heavy metal-style carpet covering, instead of tolex, but I ripped that stuff off a while ago and tolexed it. Also has an equally cheesy metal speaker grill, which I have covered with black tweed. I have been very happy with this amp over the years. Although it doesn't have that fat tube sound, it's damn good for solid state technology.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a Fender jazz bass through it. Straight - no effects. I have a home-made mute just above the bridge, and with the neck pickup only, and the bass and mid controls of the amp almost all the way, treble at 5 and compression all the way, I get a nice full, warm, round sound with a quick decay. Cuts right through at low volume - similar to the effect you get with an SVT (similar, but obviously not the same).Perfect for the country rock stuff I'm doing now.

Reliability : 10
I don't think you can break it. I've tried.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had any problems, so i don't know.

I've been playing about 15 years. Lately I've spent a lot of time on my Engelhardt upright - bluegrass, so no amp at all. I also own a Guild D4 (pre Fender) and an old 70's Fender Bassman 2x15 cab, which will be my new bass rig once I acquire the perfect head for it.
