Roland DBass 115

300+ watt combo amp with 15" driver plus piezo tweeter. Two inputs, one for piezo and one for regular basses. The regular input has a button for active and passive basses. There is also a gain control. Has modeling built in for super flat, vintage (B15), and modern (Eden-ish) tones. Shape button changes sound on vintage and modern settings. There is also a built in compressor with solid state or tube emulation. Good subtle EQ with bass, midrange, midrange freq, treble, and separate tweeter knob. There is also an effects loop with a blend control and good DI out.

I generally stick with the Super Flat setting with a bit of tube compression. The EQ is left flat as I haven't found much of a reason to change it. With these settings the basses I use just sound natural and clear. There is very little coloration added to the tone. If I need to change the tone I generally use the controls on the bass or sometimes a Yamaha NE-1 preamp before it. I've used the modern and vintage settings some but I love the super flat for some reason. The amp is louder than I'll ever need.

Mainly used for rehearsals which last several hours minimum. No problems yet. The amp weighs about 50 lbs or so and it easy to move. It has removable castors too. It would be nice if it came with a cover though.

I was looking for a light powerful combo and I am very pleased with this amp. I was considering a walkabout or a markbass but the versatility, price, and the super flat setting won me over. Its simple and it sounds great. I would love to try the 210 version with the extension cabinet.

This is a new combo model from Roland. I have used other Roland gear and when I saw the Richard Bona and Alain Caron were endorsing this line of amps I wanted to try one. It is a one channel amp that is very versatile. I play Jazz, Fusion, R&B and Rock. I never use the Piezo input because I don't have a Piezo-equipped bass. I use this for rehearsals,recording and small to medium-sized gigs. It is quite loud for it's size and as with many combo amps, for a bigger gig you can just go into the house and use it as a monitor.

I am using a custom-made PJ style bass and a Fender precision with this amp. both basses are passive. It is a *very* quiet amp! This makes it superb for home practice. What another reviewer stated is true: this amp has has super-fast response and it makes a big difference in feel. as long as the input gain is set correctly, this is a clean sounding amp.

I've used other Roland gear and it is good stuff. I would use it without a backup for sure.

This amp is truly a blessing when it come to the feature needed in a bass amp. Pickup this up in 2007 and it's the best amp I ever owned. The amp can put out any styles you're looking for from a deep lows to sweet highs. The amp has two input, one is for pizzo input. I use this amp at all my gigs which are med size. Great on the back because it very light.

I use a Yamaha T1005 with Bart's pickup and a Bart preamp. I play Gospel and this amp can handle the best. No need to carried that 4/10 cab around. The amp is very quiet. The Roland has 3 main sound setting. The amp can handle very high sound without distortion but I never had to trun it up that loud. I rate this amp a 10.

I just own it a few months now and not a single problem.The cab is build strong. But I wish they made a cover for the amp.

I've been playing bass since 1965 and owned many many amps and basses. Right now I own four basses: Yamaha T1005, Fender Zone5, KSD-5 and Yamaha TB5. My amps are Roland D-115, Carvin P200, Peavey 500 head with a Eden 4/10 and a peavey 4/10 cab.

This amp has everything I need and nothing that I do not.For a detailed list of features see Rolands web site. Onboard compressor is great and the tube emulation is fantastic.The line out and xlr di out are very quiet and provide an excellent signal. I have had many compliments on the quality of sound.

You name it and this amp has that sound covered. Awesome bottom end,beautiful mids and the tweeter is sweet and controlable.I use a 1975 Fender Jazz, a Peavey t40, but my favourite bass with this amp is an old Ibanez Silver Series Jazz bass. The versatility of this amp is amazing.I looked at many combos before aquiring my d-bass,the closest in sound quality was the Mesa Boogie Walkabout Scout, but it lacked in features comparably. I truly have found 'THAT TONE' in the d=bass amp.

I have been playing for 42 years. This amp comes with casters,handles on top and sides, is relatively light in weight and has that tone we have all been looking for. If lost or stolen I would go right out and get another. Now that I have gotten used to this superb tone I would be lost without it. I have played large and small and outside venues with this unit an diy excelled at them all. Plenty of power
