this is a 1996 i believe,, i could be wrong,, but WHAT A BEAST,,, its 13 years old and it sounds amazing,, i run it thru my bass 350(1999) and with the 4 ohm rating its LOUD,, i run it with an ampeg bxt 115 4ohm and what a beast it is , the bigfoots rated at 500 RMS which is great, but what do you expect from two BAG END woofs?

Sound Quality : 9
SOUNDS AWSOME,, i play hard on a 62 reissue pbass with jazz neck, which everyone knows, that the pbass is deep and swallows up ****** speakers if you play hard,, this thing is awsome,, if you need to run one cab only,, this is it, cause it can get you ALMOST 15" lows, and ALMOST 10" mids all in one cab,, so it really sounds nice,, i added an ampeg 15 to my rig, and it STACKS really nice, same dimensions, if you can find a big foot 2,, or a 1,, if its priced ok GRAB IT, cause its a RARE cabinet, DO NOT get this confused with the workingmans 2x12,, this is a superior cab to the wkman 2x12

Reliability : No Opinion
only had it a week, so i dont know,, i just know that once i plugged in to it and heard it, i was pumped,, then i picked it up, and couldnt believe how light it is, i think its 60 lbs but its got casters,, (which look like the only weak thing on the cab,, mine still work but are FLIMSY,, but who gives a ****,, i will probably keep this cab for a long time, For $250 it is a great cab

Customer Support : 10
havnt needed to call for this,, although i did need a new fuse cover for my bass 350 head which is PRE FENDER< and of course now you have deal with fender, and they were pretty good,, they shipped me this part i needed FOR FREE,, the heads 10 years old, so its not under warranty, i thought it was pretty decent of them

Overall Rating : 10
if you can find one for decent $$ grab it,, it has BAG END subs in it, its a real little monster,, its a lot smaller in person than you expect, and can fit in most cars, it handles 500w all day good all around sound, cant go wrong with this product,,

The specs are listed below in other reviews so I won't bother you with repeating what they've said.

Sound Quality : 10
I owned one of these cabs when they first came out. In time I sold it and shortly there after regret set in when I could not find a suitable replacement that didn't cost over $1,200.00. I have since found an old beat up one with Eminence drivers which in my opinion sounds good. The design of these cabs is such that every speaker I've put in these cabs just sounds better than in other 2X12 cabs I have owned. Magic I guess...:-)

Reliability : 9
To be honest the used one I purchashed looks really beat up cosmetically in regards to the carpet ( Rat Furr ) but the cabinet itself remains solid. There is no cross over in these for the LeSon tweeter just a high-pass filter made up of a capacitor and a variable resistor. So repairs are easy if you have to replace anything. I removed the LeSon tweeter and put in a Fostex tweeter like the one SWR used on the Goliath cabs... works just fine...You don't need a lot of high end with these cabs for some reason...again the magic thing...

I do all my own repairs or use local sources if needed.

If you want a good sounding, easy to modify/repair, will last you a real long time, road worthy, 2x12 bass cab and you are lucky enough to find one of these, then I would suggest you buy it...

AWESOME! I have to admit, I have a fetish for bass cabs.

I sold my SWR Big Bertha 2x15 cab to use Aguilar GS112 cabs. I used 1-4 of those for a while.

They sound great but I wanted a 2 or 4 twelve cab. It seemed like the drivers on the GS cabs were working independantly because they don't share an air space.

I sold all but one of those and started looking for an Aguilar GS212 or GS412. I found this first.

I really like this cab. It isn't as loud as two GS112 cabs but it sounds smoother. It really has a sweet tone.

I barely crack the tweeter open. When I play on a low stage I open the tweeter a little more. A little goes a long way.

I have run 1000+ watts through this for hours. My technique is very good so your results may vary depending on how heavy handed you are.

Reliability : 10
No issues. The tweeters are notorious. Keep a spare.

Thanks Fender for creating so many innovative products. Too bad customer service wasn't one of them. I don't even bother with Fender anymore.

Overall Rating : 10
Great cab. Fits in a sedan trunk. Covers any style up to medium sized venues. Beyond that it gets a bit compressed. If you are lucky enough to find one, buy it. Make sure it has the original PAS drivers.

Light wieght construction, 2 12" Bag End drivers, Le Son ferro-electric tweeter, metal grill, tweeter level control, pop-out casters, 500 Watts RMS, 4 ohms.

Sound Quality : 9
This cab was aquired to act as a bottom to my stack. The top was a Goliath II. I was told it had a sound similar to a 15" but with better speaker coverage. I planned to use my Goliath alone for smaller gigs, but the Bigfoot went with me for every gig or practice. The sound wasn't as boomy as a 15", and all in all the cab was quite warm. The tweeter was nice, but I don't remember using it much. I eventually traded my SWR cabs for an Ampeg SVT810E, much tighter.

Reliability : 8
The cab never failed electronically, but it rarely failed to tip over. The front casters were placed quite far back make it tip easily. One time it tipped over with just mu 10 space rack case on top of it, make the rack roll like a craps game.

Customer Support : No Opinion

This was the best SWR cab I ever owned. The whole concept was excellent, similar size to a 4x10, but way lighter, plus Bag End speakers. This cab was/is highly under-rated (this cab's been out for 11 years, and this is the first review on it), I guess people have to have thier 15's. Just make sure if you use it as a bottom, make sure it's secure, and don't plan on moving it as a stack.
