One front facing 12" speaker and one angled 12" speaker recessed into the cabinet. tweeter dial control and input jack and speakon socket. mines a 4ohm. pretty basic and straightforward.

Sound Quality : 10
the cab has lots of punch and seems louder than it should be if that makes sense? tweeter dials from no treble (cut) to lots of treble with it up full, quite a wide sweep of range, with my bass through it i quite like it just off center towards the bassier sound, when i play keys through it i just center it. can handle lots of bass for such a small cab. there is a little bit of a mid range hump but its like having a full range cab with a low bass cut shelf to avoid the real lower bass freqs you cant hear properly anyway but which still muck up the sound, so you still get a deep clear low bass sound as the useful freqs still get through.

Reliability : 10
its a cab? i suppose if it was dropped from a great height it might break but its seems a solid bit of kit to me.

Customer Support : 10
The warranty is apparently a life time warranty if you bought it new! ive heard Schroeder has excellent customer service but not had to deal with them directly even though i did have a slight problem when it arrived as it had a funny buzzing sound which i thought was a faulty speaker. id bought the cab off the their uk dealer www.shxmusic.com so i contacted shx to find out how to get it sorted and they actually sent someone round themselves the next day with a replacement! Though when the tech undid the back he found a wire was vibrating on the speaker and taped it up, no charge, 5mins job done, very impressed. not had problems since.

Overall Rating : 10
i love it cause its got great sound and is very portable and light, not only that its great for me for both bass and keyboards. ive have had lots of cabs and its the best one ive had, ok i did have one cab years ago (18" folded horn) that might have been a little bit better but it was huge and very heavy and my back wont cope with that sort of thing anymore.. whereas my 1212 is the perfect chuck in the back of the car cab, which is what i do.
i would buy another if stolen. wish they were cheaper but its worth it as i havent found better at any price. i do have to knock off .1 for the corner brackets which were not fitted very flush but rounding 9.9 makes 10/10 anyway

The cabinet features 2 12" speakers and a titanium bullet super tweeter horn with attenuator knob. The cabinet also has 1 speakon connector and 2 1/4" in/out jacks. The cabinet has carpeted "rat hair" covering, plastic locking corner pieces, metal handles recessed in the sides and 1" round rubber feet on the bottom.

Sound Quality : 9
This is the best all purpose bass cabinet I have ever used in a live context with a full band. The sound cuts through the mix like a knife with a solid bottom end presence, strong punchy midrange and crisp but not harsh highs. This cabinet is also extremely loud compared to other cabinets using the same amplifier. It has an extremely high efficiency rating meaning it puts out more decibels with less wattage. I've tried Ampeg, SWR, GK, Epifani, Avatar and Hartke cabinets and this blows them all away in sound quality and it only weighs 42 lbs and can easily be carried into a gig with one hand!

Reliability : 9
The construction appears to be very solid and high quality components are used. The cabinet is hand made in the USA using US made components so you know it is made of low-grade parts manufactured in China. I am going to get the Schroeder padded cover to protect it but with a 10 year warranty, I think this cabinet will hold up just fine. The RMS rating is 800 watts so most of us will not be pushing more power than this into it where speaker damage could be risked. Schroeder recommends at least 300 watt amps be used with the cabinet.

Customer Support : 10
I haven't dealt with Jorg Schroeder except to order the padded cover but he was very fast, responsive and courteous in that instance. I have heard from others that he will bend over backwards to help customers and ensure their satisfaction. This is the beauty of American small business, their products cost more but they provide excellent customer service and a superior product because they have to in order to justify their higher cost and compete.

Overall Rating : 9
My only complaint about this product is the "rat hair" covering. I have a white dog that sheds and have to vacuum the cabinet to keep it clean. If you custom order from Schroeder direct you can get Rhino coating like the Line X coating available from Avatar. The padded cover will help minimize this problem. The sound is superb and the practicality and portability are excellent. Some people don't like the extreme midrange punch but this is the exact reason why I got this. I also think this cab has the best tweeter available in any bass cabinet. At 12' o clock, the tweeter is crisp and articulate without exposing lots of fret noise and sounding clanky.

Schroeder 1212 Lite, bought new on 2006.
Use it with an Aguilar AG500SC amp head.
Play mainly Rock, Funk, Jazz using a Musicman Stingray, Fender Jazz Bass (American Deluxe) and an Alembic Mark King 5 Deluxe.

Sound Quality : 10
I have never heard a cabinet that sounded so good like this. The definition is amazing with great punch at the time. The combination with my Aguilar AG500SC is really perfect, great attack, you can perfectly feel the touch of the fingers playing the strings.

I have tried before Gallien Krueger RBH 410 and Ampeg SVT-410. Believe me that this cabinet, with half of the size and weight, can sound double as clear, punchy and fully. It can really cut in at even large venues!

As you can read from previous reviews, its always great when you can receive support from the owner and designer of the products. I sent an email asking some technical data and Jorg Schroeder himself send me the answer. Great Jorg.

Overall Rating : 10
I've playing for 20 years. Last 5 years I have tried series of configurations including and I think I have found my definitive one.
It's great to have the best of sound, with huge power in a such compact format. You will forget about breaking your back carrying the old cabs.

Best cab I ever played with.

Features : 10
features are spec'ed out in the other reviews. Its a small, light cab thats very loud, projects my sound brilliantly and so is perfect for bunging in the car for rehearsals, smaller gigs, large pa gigs where i just need a montior backline (ive do occasional big festivals) and for when i want to compliment my 410 schroder (ive also reviewed that on harmony-central). I did use it on its own and not through the pa at a 450 cap venue a couple of weeks ago (i was told i only needed a monitor as they had a big pa - i arrived and they didnt have any pa at all, thanks you know who you are for that!) but anyways, it handled it no problem, i stuck it up on my amp flightcase and it was as good as any other bigger cabs ive used before.

Sound Quality : 10
excellent, just really damn good!.. good range, loud and most of all the projection is just perfect (see my review on my 410). i prefer at big gigs where we dont mic up the bass to use it with my 410 schroeder cab as i think it gives it a bigger sound - obviously really i suppose as more speakers - but its great on its own.

Reliability : 10
ive had it 1.5 months, lots and lots of use and still as good as new. its solidly built so no problems there and it can handle a heck of a lot of power and volume so id struggle to blow any speakers so i dont see how it can go wrong

Customer Support : 10
again (see 410 review) i bought this from www.shxmusic.com and customer service was perfect, ie. i paid, it arrived and im happy... its got a 10 year warranty with schroeder and they have a great reputation service wise also so i have no worries here should i need help

Overall Rating : 10
i love it, esp. with my 410 thundering out together, and yet its great on its own, esp. for ease of lugging gear around. Again, (see other review ) it seems pricey but compared to other cabs a pure bargain. If i was still playing mainly pubs and small venues and could only have one cab this would be it (though the 1210 might be as good but ive not tried one)

Fenders, Rickenbacker, Schecter, Gibson, Epiphone, Mosrite, Yamaha basses. "Old School" type sound - McCartney.

Extremely quiet and clean cabinet with a slight mid range bump that allows it to project and cut through even the loudest band mix.

Amazingly compact. People will smirk at the size, but once they hear it, they're dumbstruck. A very efficient 4 ohm cabinet that will take pretty much whatever power you want to put to it and make the most of it tonewise and volume wise.

Reliability : 10
Outstandingly rugged and dependable.

I've had no issues and don't anticipate any, but Jorg Schroeder knows what outstanding customer service is and goes out of his way to see that his clients get it without exception.

Customer Support : 10
Jorg is available and incredibly helpful. I have absolutely no doubt that he would have me back up and running at the speed of light.

Overall Rating : 10
Playing 35+ years. I use it in conjunction with a Thunderfunk TFB550 amp. Over the years I've gone from a 350 lb. 1400 watt giant monster set up to one that's less than 100 lbs. that will fit in most car trunks. It meets all my expectations of the 3 L's - LOW, LOUD and LIGHT.

I would replace this cabinet in a heartbeat if it was lost or stolen.

Purchased two of these within one month. The first was loud, full and clear. The horn is actually usable and adds actual upper mid complexity rather than finger noise and hiss. The drivers are mounted at a 90 degree angle. This has a dramatic impact upon dispersion, cabinet weight and size. Two of them fit PERFECTLY in the trunk of my Volvo sedan. Ipower them with an Eden World Tour 800. I play outdoors without PA support, and at significant volume with ample headroom. The horn accentuates upper mids without discernable hiss.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
I play LOUD blues and rockabilly music and fare well against Twin Reverbs, drums, Harleys and drunks. I also play whisper- quiet three piece restaurant and cofee house stuff accompanying acoustic instruments. I could not be more pleased with these speakers.

Reliability : No Opinion
If one cabinet failed the other would see me through. I have never experienced any problems.

Customer Support : 10
Jorg Schroeder has spoken with me at length. He is excited about his work and I am confident that anyone would be equally impressed.

Overall Rating : 10
Fender Precision basses with Duncan passive pickups, and a custom Jazz By Tim Lawson. This speaker nails the sound I'm after.

A great, powerful yet small cabinet. 2x12 with horn. Purchased 2005. Rated at 1000W this has replaced my ashdown rig and is something else

Sound Quality : 10
It is to be heard the noise that can come from such a small package. The control on the horn gives a great level of control. It is as though the tone controls on my guitars work now. Cannot explain it, but that's how it feels!

Reliability : 8
Still very new so cannot really comment but based on everyhting i have read and see have given it a good rating

Customer Support : 9
No problems on customer service pre-sale, no need for post sale

This LIGHT (only 45#) 2x12 cab is a dream. It features on front-firing and another off-axis firing heavy duty, high wattage 12 driver, and a titanium (not a piezo) compression horn. The cab is rated at 700 watts RMS. It's covered with a dark blue fur and has rubber feet and corners. The input plate has both 1/4" and speakon-style connectors. There are only two things I don't like about the cabinet's features. One is that the knob to adjust the tweeter attenuation projects beyond the back of the cab, so you can't lay it on it's back or have anything rub there or you'll bend the shaft or worse. The second is that handles are plastic. They haven't given way yet, but just not a sturdy as metal ones would be.

Sound Quality : 10
Oh My God! This 2x12 is sweet. I run the horn attenuation at about 12:00 (halfway). The highs are by no means harsh. There is unbelievable punch, clarity, and it'll go as deep as you need (40 Hz low frequency). The stage presence is remarkable, and projection to the back of the room is just as good as any other cab you could want. Plenty of head room.

Reliability : 9
ONly problem I have had was the screws/bolts that connected the speakon connectors to the input plate came loose, so I had to buy some others to replace them. So now I just make sure they're tight. It's been on the road now for 6 months and still looks great.

Customer Support : 10
Haven't had to deal with them post sale, but before I bought them, it was great. You're dealing with one person -- it's his company, so he'll go out of his way to make sure you are treated well. Way to go Jorg!

Overall Rating : 9
A bit expensive, but not as much as other boutique cabs like Eden, etc. So if you looking in that range, consider these cabs. Overall, I give it a 9 (really a 9.5). They may seem expensive, but you can easily hear what your dollars are buying!!!
