Not sure what year this amp was made. I know that Sears used to sell Silvertone guitars and amps.
I play with a Spector Performer 5, and this amp is good enough to hit the low B without much rattle. I tend to play more rock and metal, but I did try slapping a little, and the speaker didn't seem to rattle too much.
Looks like it is single channel, and has 4 equalization settings on it. High Mid, Low Mid, Low, and High. You can probably dial in whatever range you want.
There is no CD input on this amp, but there is a headphone jack on it.
I only use this for practice in my apartment, and I take it with me what I go out of town or out to sea where something larger would just be too much of a hassle.
26 Watts of raw power coursing through a 5.5 or 6 inch speaker. Look Out!!

Like I said, I play with a Spector Performer 5. Uses passive EMG-SSD Pickups. There isn't much hissing or feedback coming from this amp. The only downside is that it sounds kind of...hollow would be the word I guess. Not a lot of warmth to it. It is definately a practice amp, and it doesn't get very loud. On the plus side, I can turn it up all the way and I get no distortion or buzzing. If you can find one for cheap, and you live somewhere that noise needs to stay limited, I'd pick one up.

This thing is very lightweight. It can't weigh more than 10 pounds, if even that much. I don't think that I would trust myself to drop this thing and it still work, but who knows. I'm not going to try it.
I wouldn't use this amp in a gig, period. You MIGHT be able to get away with using it during a rehearsal, if you talked to your drummer first and told him to take it easy. If just a bass and guitar, as long as the guitar stays turned kinda down, I think it would work fine for a jam session. Mostly just practice.

I've not been playing long, about 6 months or so. My normal amp to play through is a Peavey Max 115 bass amp combo. It does fairly well.
If it were stolen, I'd be pissed, cause it's hard to find a really cheap, really portable amp that sounds half-way decent. I would get another if I could find one.
I really like this amp because it's small, and it gets loud enough to hear, but not loud enough to disturb the neighbors. It also doesn't seem to get distorted too badly.
I looked at a few other small amps. Crate, Fender, Hartke. The others were mostly good, but this one was the cheapest and sounded ok for what I needed it for.
I do kinda wish there was a cd input.
If you are just starting out, or you are in a noise restrictive area, I would recommend one of these bad boys...if you can find one.
