Probably a late 60:s or early 70:s amp. Great power 80W but sounds like a lot more. It doesn't have a variety of features but it's enough for me. I play 70:s style riff rock and it's a great amp for that purpose. I've used it at clubs, halls and outdoor festivals.

I use a 1971 Rickenbacker bass with modified horseshoe pickup for lower ends. The amp doesn't offer a great variety of sounds, it's pretty much one great sound. It doesn't distort but growls, even and high volume.

I use it everywhere and I've never had any problems. It did break down once when I turned it on without having the speaker connected. So watch out for that!

I've played bass for 10 years and I've played trough Ampeg v4b & v6b, Marshall jmp & some solid state models, Fender bassman & studiobass & a few others. I think this sunn 190b is the best amp I've played, such a warm tone! If I lost it I would defenitly search everywhere to find a similar one!
