1973 Sunn Model T, first generation. This is a Relative of the Famous Sunn 2000S. If you are familiar with Sunn equipment then you know it was used @ "Ground Zero", Woodstock 1969. This is a Vacuum tube amplifier, 4 x 6550 output tubes and 3 7025A(12AX7 Mil-spec)pre-amp tubes. Strong points of this amp: It's a first tier amp meaning it can run with the BIG DOGS @ 2 ohms. Output is switchable to 2, 4, 8 or 16 ohms. Pre-amp out, Old school 600 ohms like real Hi-Fi gear. Pre-amp in. AC outlet. 2 Parallel 1/4 speaker jacks. The front panel has unique features similar to a Marshall 200 Watt amp, Presence control, bass, mid, Treble, Normal volume, bright volume. Center Jack allows you to use both channels with front panel outputs to "daisy" chain more amps. As a bass amp this is an awesome amp but as a guitar amp, well I've let my guitarist play it through 4, yes 4 JBL K-130's..OMG..loud, piercing. also heard it through 2 Sunn 412S cabinets. Careful circuit analysis has revealed the heritage of this amp and it's a blend of 1965 Fender Bassman(tonewise) and a Marshall 200 watt head(shades of Cream). I own 6 amps and this is the one if stolen I will HUNT you down and show you something you have never seen before...the other end of your penis!

Sound Quality : No Opinion
We play the following guitars through it:
1957 Gibson Les Paul Junior, 1968 Gibson SG Special and 1958 Les Paul Standard.
I play the following basses through it:
1967 Fender Precision, 2006 Fender Geddy Lee Jazz bass, 1966 Fender Jazz bass, custom shop Re-issue. all basses strung with Rotosound LD66RS for maximum twang in yer thang.
Amp was originally bought as a universal back up for my very loud band and it was available for guitar or bass. Never used as a back up. Became a primary guitar amp and past 2 years pumped into 2 SWR Goliath III Cabinets for bass. I will buy another one soon. distortion is ok but you have to understand this amp ain't fer da "faint hearted"..

Reliability : 10
Built in 1973, bought for $325 in 1978. Never ever failed...dude it's a Sunn!! in 2006 I had the power supply filter capacitor replaced. This is maintenance for a 33 year old amp. I retubed it in 1978 also. Replaced 1 7025A tube in 2006. User repairable if you are a qualified tech which I am. Bias is a, cinch banana jacks and potentiometer accessable from rear. Just Set it to -55 VDC if you want factory output and reliability. Caution heah gents!! B+ is 500 plus VDC. service is similar to 200S, 2000s which I have done.

Customer Support : 10
Becky, bless her sent me schematics for all my Sunn Amps:
Concert bass, coliseum Bass, coliseum Lead, 200S, 2000S.
These are drawn out the conventional way just like HP schematics.
Lifetime warranty! they's outta bidnez. If'n you cain't fix better get a tech who knows VINTY gear as there is no "whoopee" cusion snapple reservoir or Sony Help line and unfortunately DAD's in the clay.

Overall Rating : 10
I have played bass since 1971. still have my first bass, and why not? It's a bluddy 1967 Fender Precision with a Maple cap neck and Paddle-style tuners..Well I did and A-B side by side with the Orange bass amp(4 x 6550)and well the Orange is cute. Only bass amps that compare tone-wise are NONE. will not play through MAGNAVOX. The Hi-watt 200 and Marshall 200 are close. 6550 tubes sound fantastic for bass if you like tubes. I have all vinty equipment..Solid state, tubes and NO MOSFETS..quit readin this drivel and go to ebay and bid on one just don't buy the new ones.
