This is the older style amp, not that new stuff that they are making these days. Believe it was made in the 1990's. It is built like a tank and very durable. It takes up 3 spaces in the rack case that I have it in. It says that it is 350W @ 4ohms but this amp is WAAAAAYYYYY LOUDER than what the rating says it is. So far I have yet to push the master volume past 3, thats no joke! The amp is very versatile. It has both solid state and valve(tube) sounds to it and can be adjusted by one knob to blend the two sounds or pick one over the other. It has a 12 band graphic eq that has a level adjustment on how much eq you want. It also has a pre-shape 1 & 2 that also changed the sound of your output. The one nice feature that it has is the high & low compression adjustment knobs. I have yet to see this on any of the other amps that I've had. It lets you compress the lows & highs separately which is AWESOME!! It also has a nice cosmetic feature of the black light on the bottom front of the amp which you can turn on/off with a switch. This is great at night so you can see your amp settings and also looks really nice!

I currently use my Lakland 55-02 with my SWR Goliath 4X10 and does this amp sound sweet. I just cant believe the sounds that I can get from this baby. I play Jazz & Gospel music and it sits just fine with the genre of music that I play. Very clean, clear & pronounced sounds from the amp.

This amp gets a 10 out of 10 from me. I know a lot of bass players that I talk to dont know much about Trace Elliot amps but I will definitely be spreading the word about the sound & reliability of these great amps. You just cant go wrong with them! Definitely a Keeper!
