Basic features, perfectly adequate if you need only 100 watts and are willing to provide chorus, compression, etc. via external gear.

Sound Quality : 8
Sounds great used with a Gibson Thunderbird, a MusicMan Sterling fretless, and an Ibanez artist signature series. All through a p.o.s. Yamaha 15-inch speaker cab. Deep, rich and thumping. The natural compression is adequate; I doubt you will need more. I have given it only an 8, because I know better tone is available, but if I were stuck with only this amp, I could be happy. It is as good as I've heard in from solid state.

Reliability : 8
It's light but rugged. Since it has no tubes, I doubt it will break easily.

Customer Support : 1
The company is tragically out of business.

Overall Rating : 10
Probably the best amp deal I've ever gotten, considering the ridiculous price. I have upgraded to a Roland DB500, for its tube emulation, but I will keep the Commando on hand. If I knew I were going to play a place that had a cabinet available, I might very well spare my back and just take this head.

Made in Britian, bought it at musicians friend new for $100 because the britian factory was closing and musicians friend bought out all the old inventory.
Has Pre and Post volume, low, mid, and high eq with boost for each, the boost works really well with the limited eq
only one out, it only is 100 watts and that couldn't power two cabs very well. Very simple features, I wish it had a compressor but hey, it was $100 new.

Sound Quality : 10
I use it with a cort curbow 4,(awesome bass, check my review) it really works well with it. it has a very fat tone for 100 bucks. I run it through a hartke 210 tp which is also awesome. it does distort some at high volumes though. I play rock worship and it is perfect for my style, and a GREAT slap amp especially with the aluminum hartke speakers. it is just perfect to play with drums, not too loud not to quiet

Reliability : 4
Can't tell you, I've only had it for 2 months.
I would bring it to a gig w/o a backup because I don't have one.

Customer Support : No Opinion
warranty is one year.

Overall Rating : 10
Awesome bang for the buck, I could'nt have gotten a better deal.
