This amp has basic features, you have 2 inputs for passive and active. A 3 band EQ low/mid/high, line out (which disconnects the speaker) headphones jack, Fx loop. 80 watts rated power, which is good for practicing, acoustic or quiet jams for me. Overall, an average amp for my needs, in terms of power anyways. Also very light for a combo amp at that. I think it's from the early/mid 90's. I wish it has a XLR out, but at that time they weren't doing such things.

I play a Fender Aerodyne Jazz bass and the amp sounds pretty good, but i can only go just under half way with the EQ all rolled down so that i don't distort. I found the FX loop to be noisy. It can accomindate different styles of playing, but is weak on the slapping. I play alt/rock, rock, metal, punk, starting to play jazz and funk as well. I will prob take the amp out of the back and use it as a cab when i get a head and 2x10 cab. I'm impressed with the sound for what it is.

I've had this thing for 4 years now and it's still kicking. The only problem i have had with it was that i blew the fuse a couple of times, but by my own fault of pushing it to hard, but otherwise, it's solid. I'll be keeping it until i'm forced to sell it or accidents and what have you.

I've been playing bass on and off for about 5 years, the last year and a half i've been playing regularly. I have't gigged yet, but been practicing a fair amount. I would recommend it to anyone starting out, if you can find one. But it's not so great for playing in loud situations. So if your on a budget and get one, pick up a D.I. box and use it as a monitor. If it were lost of stolen i would buy another one, mostly for a collection reason. I plan to keep pimpin' the traynor name.

I bought this amp used at our local 'Music Go Round' music store. It was the cheapest amp with a 15" speaker so I bought it for $200. The amp is very small and very light which was also a good selling point for me. Rated at 80 watts the amp has 2 inputs, effects loop, High/Mid/Low tone knobs and a volume. One thing I don't like about is that the controls are on the top/back of the cabinet. This makes you stand over the amp to adjust the settings. I still like it.

Lightweight but built like a tank? This is without a doubt the lighest combo amp I have ever lifted. Don't let the lack of weight make you think this amp is not sturdy. My amp was knocked a small table and nothing happened to it. (I don't encourage you to do this!) The 15" speaker struggles a bit and the sound is a little 'thin' because of the small cabinet. More ideal for practice than live performance. All in all I think this makes a great practice amp. I only wish that the amp had a speaker out option.

Like I said before, my amp was knocked off a low table and nothing appeared to be wrong with it. The cabinet is well built and the controls are straight forward. When I bought it used about 4 years ago it was probably already 5-10 years old. I have not had any problems with it.

Good amp! (not great) I would suspect one could be picked up for $100-150 on the used market. Also might want to check out WWW.EBAY.COM

I'm not sure how old it is, but since traynor has gone under the yorkville name for almost 10 years, its atleast that old. This is a Bass Amp, and is simply that, it has one channel with a three band EQ, it also has a headphone Jack, external speaker jack, and an Effects Loop. Honestly I wouldn't change a thing on this amp, I use it just for practice and playing aroudn the house, and at 80 watts its more than loud enough. All in all a decent Solidstate amp.

I use a Samick 5-string and a Fender Bullet Bass through it. and I play alot of different styles from Punk to Swing stuff, and I preffer a mellow muddy tone, and this amp is excellent at that, but it tends to distort on the Low E, and Low B alot if you put the volume past 5, Its not really good for Gigs. I can get a variety of sounds out of it from a twangy tone to a warm tone.

I have used this with out a back up, its solid state, wich makes it verry reliable by nature, the only problem is that the screws holding the mounting brackets for the head in the back seem to have a habbit of working there way out, they need tightend occaisonally. but thats it.

I've been playing almost 10 years, and I've had this almost as long, so If it were stolen I'd mourn it like the loss of an old friend, and if I ever saw another I'd buy it in a second.
