Features : 10
1967/1968 Traynor 20 watt Bass Mate amp head. 2 channels, volume, treble, bass control. One speaker out. 2 6v6 Output tubes,
and 2 12ax7 pre-amp tubes. Small, light box but built like a typical
traynor - very tough, very high quality. This amp is loud for a 20 watt and great for guitar and bass - best for guitar. when the volume is turned up past 5 it distorts like a full 100 watter.
Massive low end, jangly sweet tube driven high end and plenty of guts.

Sound Quality : 10
All the classic rock and roll or blues clean tube tones or down and
super dirty distortion straight out of the head. Or combine with
tube overdrive and hear the sweet crunchy raw hard rock tones.

Reliability : 10
Traynors from the mid and late 60's were built very well. Traynors
are among the toughest road amps I've ever owned.

Customer Support : No Opinion
My amp tech gives me excellent support when I pay him and include a
case of German beer.

Overall Rating : 10
Overall these Traynor Bass Mates are among the sweetest tube amps ever sold, and I include all Marshalls. They sound huge like a vintage Marshall but are less than half of the price. I now own
5 vintage traynor heads from the late 60's and they are not for sale
now at any price below $1000 per head.
