This amp is the predecessor of the Bass Master and was probably made in 1963. There is no serial number and the enclosure is a later one. Features are identical to the 45 watt Bass Masters. This was was not working at the time of purchase and it need an output transformer. Tubes are 6L6 but I don't believe it was made that way. The circuit board is actually perf board and the component layout is similar to my 66 Bass Master. The chassis sheet metal is thinner and the location of the main filter caps is slightly different. The face plate appears to be printed brass with black ink. The output jacks are different from the 66 B.M. . Even with crappy 6L6 tubes the sound breaks up nicely starting at 4. I plan to install EL34 tubes and re-bias.
Sound Quality

The sound is clearer with single coils but the humbuckers distort sooner.
Reliability
:

Most of the electronic components appear untouched with the exception of the new O/P tranny. A grounded cord was added. At this time I would not play out with it until the EL 34 have been installed and then will use it as a backup to my 66 B.M.

Schematics on-line as well as phone support is available. Yorkville/Traynor is still producing tube equipment.

Because of the lack of info on the Dyna Bass amps I'd like to communicate with other owners or people involved with these historical amps. I have a pictures of amp details that I could share by e-mail.
