I got this slightly used in about 1966 or maybe 1967. I was playing bass through a Vox Beatle amp and my brother gave me this Foundation Bass amp. "Paul" often used this model with the Beatles. It was a head and cab set up. The two parts were separated by the metal tubes of the stand. My band played the usual "British Invasion" music of the era. For heavier tunes I played my bass through a stack of Sunn amps.
One Channel, no effects ---just a lot of tube power.
I played this amp in arena size shows and a couple of "Pop Festivals" in ther late 60's. It had plenty of power in the days before miking amps through the PA.

I used a Gibson EBO and sometimes a Rickenbacker 4001 with this rig.
I remember that sometimes when running it with a lot of volume -- the head would "rumble". If I had to play that loud, I would take the head off of the stand and it would be ok.

I never liked the rumble of the head at high volume. I changed the tubes a couple of times.

I never called Vox. I'd hate to try and get it service today.

I have played since the mid 1950's. I have owned just about everything made....Really.
I got this from my brother so it would match the Beatle and Super Beatle amps we used in the band. We had a Vox PA too --or at least the speaker collums were VOX.
I don't miss this amp. I wouldn't use it again.
