This is a passive 2-15 speaker cabinet for bass guitar. It is a Vox licensed reissue of the speaker cabinets used by McCartney in the early years of The Beatles (thru around 64-65).
It was built in the US by North Coast Music under license from Korg/Vox. I got mine around 2003 and sold it a couple of years later when I left the classic rock band. I wish I had kept it.
I had mine loaded with two S300 Sonic 15 inch speakers for a 4 Ohm load. I powered it with a GK400RB. TONS of low end. Even with all those lows, it was able to handle the mids and highs for accents with ease.
It is absolutely accurate to the original. It is a closed back, non ported cabinet. It measures 36 tall x 19 wide x 11.75 deep and weighs around 70 pounds empty.

The band I was in did a fair amount of classic 60s rock. I used a MIM Fender P-bass with round wound strings with that band. I really liked the sound when we did Motown or British Invasion. It was also killer for some do-wop and the country material we played as well.
I was never in a position where the GK400RB amp caused the speakers to overdrive. Even when we played outdoors without PA support for the bass, I had plenty of power and volume, contrary to the nay sayers who think a non ported cabinet cannot get loud enough to stay with 2 loud guitars, keyboards and drums.

I never had a single problem with it. The person I sold it to is in a Beatles tribute band and uses it frequently. He has never had any problems with the speaker cabinet.

Gary at North Coast is a great person to deal with. He was very helpful while I went through the process of deciding what speakers and Ohm ratings.
I never had any occasion to contact Gary or North Coast after I received the cabinet. It simply did not have any malfuctions.

I was playing bass when the Beatles were still performing live. I am as old as dirt...actually I remember when they invented dirt. OK, seriously, I played in several bands from 1964 to 1972 and did some regional tours...did not touch a guitar again until around 1998. I got finally decided to find a band in 2000 and have been playing steady since.
I knew what I was getting when I ordered this. At the I owned 1-15 and a 4-10 and felt the Vox T-100 was the right cabinet for my style.
It is too unique to lose or for some shmuck to steal. It was the only one within 150 miles.
It was a little awkward to transport due to size and shape and weight...that and the fact that I am well past 50 and on the wrong side of 250 pounds...none of which is the speaker cabinet's fault.
I wish I had it back. I wish I had the money to get another one. I wish I was young and rich instead of old and handsome...
