I believe this is a 1998. I got what I thought was a smokin' deal at a local music store. covered in orange fabric with a white grill, I am not surprised it was overlooked. I even tried it out just to see if it was too good to be true. Seemed pretty good, in store.
the cab seems versatile, responding to the nuances of my spector legend and trace-elliot amp. it should have enough power, at 600 watts (800 based on the drivers in the cab), but see Sound Quality. The horn is good and i am pleased it is adjustable. there is a very significant filter for the horn, which is a very good thing. i had to replace the protection lightbulb; simple and readily available (assuming I got the right one but see Customer Service). I thought the internal wiring was a little wimpy for a 600 watt cab, so I upgraded it to 14 gauge.
the speakers are Eminence, looking to be based on the Gamma line. In my opinion, those speakers were not really suitable for bass guitar (not enough excursion).

I mentioned the Spector Legend and 250 W Trace Elliot amp. When i first fired it up all back together after a makeover and with my amp and bass, I was really pleased. Man, the depth and range were phenomenal.
Too bad, when I got it to practice with my band it just was not up to the task of performance against drums and two guitars. Anything below approximately 80 Hz had the potential and likelihood of huge distortion. I was not happy at all about that. Sure, I could DI in a performance setting, but even as a monitor I was having to hang too close.
I might do further modifications to roll off the incoming signal to that cab at say 60 Hz or something and just use it for punch in concert with a 15.

Well, I don't think I'd gig with it by itself the way it sounds. It hasn't broken down for me, though there is evidence that one of the drivers was replaced or repaired. The protection lightbulb for the horn needed replacing, but that was simple and easy enough.
i am concerned that I would damage the drivers if I played at the levels I would expect from it. Power handling at low frequencies is just not good enough.

I did write to Warwick to determine the exact model of lightbulb to use in the protection circuit. no response whatsoever.
Bonus was that the retailer gave me a one year warranty for $10.

i have been playing for a long time and have used custom designed and built cabinets (by yours truly) for the last 10 years. I won't restate the primary gear list but I do use and really like the Behringer BDI-21 that I couple to the rig.
I would not buy this cabinet, or whatever the recent version is, again: at least not without a serious test drive.
i love the rich deep tones it is capable of. I hate the higher volume distortion of the bass frequencies. After all, this is a *bass* cabinet.
I didn't compare it - the deal seemed to be too good and i wasn't going to waste too much of a sales guy's time for the price I paid.

Good solid cab. I got this used and it really cranks. It's about 100 lbs. Horn attenuator is nice. only has Speakon and XLR connectors, though, no 1/4", I had to get an adaptor.

Used it for a modern rock band and it was plenty loud for all our gigs. Any place bigger than a nightclub was lined in anyway.

Never had any electrical probs. speakers held up well under abuse. One of the speaker holders got bashed during a load-in but it was an easy fix.

I would probably buy it again. There are many 4x10's out there, but this one seemed to fit the bill!! Wish it came with wheels standard.

I believe that my cab was made in 2001, because it says in the serial # ont the side. It is a very nice german constructed cab made of solid birch, in my opinion one of the best types of wood for a bass cab to be made of. I purchased it because it was the highest rms of any 4x10 out their besides the neo version which is like 1200 bucks- to much in my opinion for a bass cab. It has some good features in that it has an adjustable horn and 2 inputs and outputs for xlr and speakon adapters. It does everything the average bassist needs.

This cab sounds sick, like i said its made of birch which resonates very well with the bass going through it. I have 3 basses i play through this amp, rickenbacker, alembic, schecter. They all have humbuckers on them and sound fantastic when driven through this amp by my Sunn 300T. It handles the full load the sun throws out just fine and it never makes noise like some of the crappy crate cabs ive played before. The only thing I will probably change on this amp is the speakers becaause of how pleased i have been with the company "tone tubby" and their hempcone speakers. I have one in my guitar amp and it made a totally new tone sing from that thing, so i believe the super bass boys that they offer will sound great in this cab, especially since they are reccomended for tube driven amps.

I would not expect anything shitty to happen with my cab while playing it other than for a speaker to blow which isnt happening any time soon since my amp doesnt push it anywhere near its limit. other than that is friggin wood and capret so im pretty sure ittl hold up quite well even in moisture, birch doesnt swell like particle board

Sounds great, warm and thick tone. The horn antenuator on the back is nice. This cab gives you the option of inputing through speak-on or xlr. It also came with 4 removeable castors.

I'm using a Spector NS2004 with bridge and neck pickups on running through a SWR SM400s and DBX compressor. I'm getting a good thick heavy tone and the mids and highs have enough to cut through the mix.
I'm actually running two 411 pros. I got a really good deal on them, and like any musician, I'm on a budget. It's deffinatley loud enough. I'm in a metal band and my guitarist is running a peavey 5150II. I have alot to compete with as far as volume. I turn the amp up to about 9 o'clock in the jam room and 11 o'clock on stage. I get no distortion unless I turn the bass all the way up on the pre and post on the amp and on my bass. I'm giving this cab an 8 on sound because I've never gotten the chance to use any other head on it. John Maggard of Unearth uses these cabs and John Campbell of Lamb of God used them before he got sponsored by Mesa.

the best. I cranked the pre gain on my amp too high and then boosted the post and the back panel got hot and started to melt the insulation on the inside. I contacted warwick before I found out where the smell was comming from and they sent me a replacement back panel free of charge. I also damaged the castors when moving (my own stupidiity not quality) my cab to a show. I asked warwick where I could find some new ones because I didn't know if they were warwick specific. They simply asked for my adress and sent me new ones, again free of charge.

I've been involved in music composition and performance for about 12 years now and have seen alot of gear. If you don't have the money for the $1000+ equipment I highly recommend this cab but you have to get it used because I just heard this cab has been discontinued. I got the last one clearenced by music123.com. Germany is known for their elite engineering.

The horn sounds nice and the Horn control is good (that is, in the newer version of the speaker).

The sound is quite good. I think it's better than the speakers I listned from Yamaha, Behringer, Mark Bass, Peavey and hartke. It's still a budget amp, I don't expect great sounds at this price

I certainly wouldn't buy it again if I had the chance to turn back time. It was broke when it came from the factoy and was still broke when I got it back for the fourth (!!!) time. Worthless service
The build is also not very good, cheap wood and poor manufacturing result in a kind of fluffy sound. But still, the sound from this speaker with matching Warwick amp is quit reasonable for it's price
