This amp seems to have everything you could reasonably want in a bass amp - unless you're a digital effects freak. Certainly the tone controls allow a wide wariety of tonal variation.
It also has a handle that pulls up at the rear and allows you to trolley the thing around on its rear wheels like a piece of luggage. The wheels won't help you get it up or down a staircase but allow you to steer it into position in a room easily and without back injuries.
There is a fan in the back that only kicks in when necesary. I've not had the opportunity to test this to its limits, so I have no idea how loud the fan noise is when it kicks in.

I've given this a TEN because to me this bass amp just sounds perfect. I thought other Warwick bass amps sounded good until I heard this one. The dual 10" bass drivers (there's a horn too), pack a punch that sounds far more controlled than their 15" "Sweet 15" model (which is - in itself - not a bad amp by any means). This was - for me - one of those moments where you're trying different bass amps in the shop, and you just plug into this one for the sake of it, and immediately fall in love with it, because it blows everything else in the shop away.
The main thing about this amp is that it shows off the characteristic "Warwick Sound" without any of the minor niggles that some of their other models have. It's not exactly a cheap bass amp - I had no intention of spending anywhere near this much money - but I new that if I left the shop without this amp I would regret it forever. This is an amp which you can truly believe may be the one and only bass amp you would ever need.
Additionally (and importantly in my opinion) it also sounds great at very low volume - the sound is still lively and crisp yet without sacrificing low end power.
The tone controls seem to have frequencies that are in exactly the right places. There's a lot of control too - a sub-bass boost AND a fully-adjustable bass, then there's a "punch" (low mid), an "attack" (high mid) and a high-end treble control AND a "top-boost" that adds a snappy "glass-like" sheen to the sound. If that isn't enough, there is ALSO an additionally mid-range control that is sweepable over a very wide range. All these controls let you "pick out" exactly the type of characteristics from your bass that you like to hear.
It also has remarkably low noise even when cranked up full.
Reliability
:
No Opinion
I've not had the amp long enough to have an opinion, but it seems very solid. If you bash the case around there seem to be a fair few rattles but yet strangely, none of these rattles actually occur as a result of playing - which is both mysterious and extremely fortunate.

To me, this amp makes my (extremely cheap) Squire P-Bass sound like a million dollars. It makes it sound exactly how bass should sound (I've been mixing records for over twenty years now). It's not cheap by any means, but Warwick gear has a great reputation and so it should hold its value over the years.
The amp feels solid and looks great, and the versatility of sound you get out of it should keep anyone happy. Although it is rated at 180 watts, it can push 250 watts into an external speaker.
It's certainly loud enough to cope with any reasonably sized gig unless you play in a stadium!
Definately a product I am very proud to own.
