Buttons everywhere!! All of them actually do stuff and you can hear the change in the sound especially when using the tubes.
400w of power into my Hartke 410TP, even though the cab is 8 0hms and the amp is 4 Ohms i feel it doesn't lose any of its quality.
Its got Stereo effects loop and DI's which is nice to see even though the amp is mono. I gig somewhere between 2 times and 8 times a month depending on schedule, and its loudness is a constant irritant to guitarists :)
The limiter and mute are also pretty useful but are pretty much standard now
a Dry/Wet dial would have been nice for the Effects loop

I have an Ibanez (w/ active pickups) and play prog/ambient rock and the EQ on the bass really helped me find the right sound from the amp. Using the Tube stage, it takes quite alot of practice to get used to the properties of each of the features, however after a good few practices you find yourself never needing to adjust it again. The transistor stage is slightly dry (probably because i always have it on the Tube) but can equal any equivelant (transistor)amp and with its low end boost and 8band EQ it can be amazing.
Bit of buzz on use of Master, probably due to previous owners use.

Ive not had a problem yet but ive not had it long, so time will answer this. However i did have a look inside and it looked very solid and considering i bought this second hand the only problem i found was a bit of buzz when turning the master volume dial. (Easily fixed with a new pot for the dial)
Tubes will probably have to be replaced at some point...(not too expensive remembering there only preamp tubes) but thats part of buying valves

I have quite a few effects pedals, which i plan to get going in stereo as soon as i can be bothered. The amp handles them absolutly fine even the warbling syb-5 that gives off all manners of squeals.
If my amp was stolen/lost ect i would ideally try and get another one although i wouldn't tie myself down to it.
I would like to get a 1x15 to complete the stack, but as it sounds at the moment i just dont need it.

I bought one of these warwick pro tube iv and i just love it i was using it for open mic for a year never had a problem also weekend giging it just take's a little getting used to dailing it in, just like any other amp you need to find the sweet spot i'm pushing a 4 ten 4 ohm eden cab. and it sound's amazing i give it a 9 only because it's a little tricky to dail in.it also has a mosfet channel with a gate witch i used for all the jammer's as not to hurt my speaker's but i alway's use the tube side for myself it sound's great i have two ibanez 885's that i loaded with emg's 18 volt ,the amp is reminicent of a old svt when you kick in the el84 tube and turn up the crunch knob for a little tube distortion or you can leave just the 12ax7 on alone for a warmer blue's tone there's also a seperate gain for each channel like i said it does take a little getting used to,if you don't know how to ajust it you will get mud out of it but ajusted properly you can tweak just about any tone you need it also has ton's of output possibility's witch i haven't had to use,i go thew the front door using a tuner chorus and sansamp direct box,i have loaded my eden 4 ten cab with 4 eminence350 watt ten's a total of 1400 watt's and this amp will just about make the speaker's just out of the cabinet the amp has more than enough power for large veue's .

i have been playing bass for 35 year's i would probably buy another if the price wass rite,i love the tube warmth it has,but has a little to many bell's and whistle's iv'e had just about every amp out there at one time or the other and this one measure's up quite well ,the only reason i got it so cheap was a mistake at a music store i won't name they thought it needed to be fixed so i got it for 50 dollar's and have been using it for almost two year's now without a hitch so far.it did'nt need any thing i haven't even changed the tube's

This is just a response to the first review: I am sorry that you had to go through such an experience, but you bought the amp USED. Also, when running the amp through a combo amp, not just a speaker cabinet, you can cause damage to the amp, depending on how it is connected and whether or not the circuitry on the Warwick allows for such a connection (as opposed to connecting to a plain old cabinet). Best of luck with gear in the future, and no, in case you were wondering, I do not work for Warwick!

I bought this amp about 6 months ago and was temporarily running it through a peavey combo amp at my band practice, it did ok in a small room, but i just recently bought an 8x10 cab and im disgusted by the amp. if i turn it up about 1/6th of the way, the overload light goes on way too much and its all distortion. im in a punk band so i light a bit of edge, but fuzz bass just doesnt cut it. ive tried all the combos of master volume, gain, crunch, and output, on both channels, still its really distorted and im afraid if i turn it up to 1/4 of the way up the amp will explode. the description of it sounded great when i bought it, tube preamp, optional power tube, crunch control for gain but its really all distorted no matter what, unless you turn it down to about small computer speaker volume. but you cant play a show like that. i checked to make sure that it wasnt my cabinet, even on the headphone out, through a very nice pair of headphones, its sounds just like it does through the cab, only without the extremely loud hiss. dont buy this amp.

I play a fender jazz bass and i play fast and hard punk rock, this amp is distorted all the time and overloads, and has a terribly loud hiss all the time.

i wouldnt gig with this amp now, first of all it would sound very bad, all distorted and second, turning it up loud might make it overload and die. wouldnt reccommend it. its never broken down on me but ive only been seriously playing through it for about 4 days, and not very loud. i dont think it could handle high volume.

overall rating id say it sucks and dont buy it. the other bass amp i have is a 30 watt practice amp that i usually use for guitar. if my amp was stolen i would never buy it again. i hate how its always distorted. a friend of mine has the mesa boogie bass 400+ all tube bass amp with a 2x10 cab and a 1x15 cab. sounds amazing. i thought that this amp would sound close to the mesa. it doesnt. dont waste your time.
