It has everthing I wanted in a bass amp: 15" speaker, goor EQ, enough power, tiltback option, relitively light, all the other listed stuff, and decent sound.

Sound Quality : 8
I play a Peavy 5 string and a G&L SB2 thru it and they sound great when it works. I seldom have to push the amp past mid levels for gain and master volume. I holds its own againts the big bass of a church organ.

Reliability : 1
Here's the problem. I used it for a few months when the sound just died. I traced that down to a very poor solder joint on the speaker cable/plug. I only resorted to fixing this myself when fnding some one to honor the warranty involved sending it back to Warwick and then letting them decide if it was their problem. Of coarse all shipping was at my expense.

Two gigs later it just died. I really don't trust the amp now, and with no concvievable repair option locally (lower Michigan) I'll probably just use the speaker and find a head somewhere that will work for now. Dana B Goods was the distributer but thay had dropped the line when I talked to the fellow at Elderly Music who really tried to help me get the unit fixed.

Customer Support : 1
I haven't delt wit customer support because there is no access even my dealer could not find a way to reach these people.

Overall Rating : 1
Very nice amp but what good is it when it is so poorly assembled and you can't get any response from the responsible people. Even Behringer is more accessable than these people.

In my opinion, stay away from Warwick.

I'd probably help the thief load the damn thing in the car.

Warwick Sweet 15 Amp, 2005(ish?). Rather than having two channels for active/ passive you can manually change the input gain - this is good for driving the speaker to get natural distortion if you want it. There's a 4 band rotary EQ, low and high boost, FX loop, line out... possibly some other stuff.
150w output and a 15inch speaker. Tough cabinet made of wood and carpet with a strong metal grille and big "W" painted on.

Like everyone, I wish i had more power, its always easier to turn down than up but this amp has more than enough headroom to pay along with an incredibly loud drummer, two guitars and two vocalists. It gets used at home and in the practice space - be careful where you stand! Stand a good 10feet away facing square at the amp and the sound will hit you - stand next to it and to the side and you wont hear the bottom end.

Features are basic comapred to other amps I've had but in all honesty there are more than I use! Those that are there do their job.

Sound Quality : 9
I bought this when I had an active 6 string and a fretless 5. I binned the 6 string and now play an active Warwick through this amp as well as a fretless - It gets a lot of style abuse, jazz, slap, distorted rock, hi-fi clean tones for modern pop-rock... I believe in getting the tone from the bass rather than the amp so I used to have the EQ flat all the time, now it gets the odd tweak but not much.

The sound quality is excellent.

The personality of the amp is more modern - you're not going to get a 70s tube amp warm distortion from it with the EQ flat and a bass going straight in. However if you have FX then the amp will re-produc that accurately.

There is nice fat, clear and round bottom end. You can get the mids up for the fretless to enhance the sound and the highs come through the horn well. This amp also does "punchy" quite well for a single 15inch speaker.

The overall tone is modern and clear. Its a simple tone in a way but you can dial in more sounds and add effects without it complaining at all.

Variety is not massive but i'm sure the more you want to work with it the more you could discover - I'm more of a "tone comes from the fingers" type so I haven't dedicated much time to it yet.

Not yet discovered unwated noise thankfully!

Reliability : 10
This has never broken down and i dont think it ever will. I can't afford a backup, even if i could i wouldnt need it.

Never dealt with them myself but by all accounts Warwick are second to none.

Overall Rating : 9
I've had a LOT of amps and while this is not as loud as a 150W Peavey I used to own it is tonally more clear. Its also a lot louder than my old 150W Marshall. Its a good all-rounder of an amp unless you absolutely NEED to ALWAYS have the warm valve sound. The modern sound isnt to everyone's taste but if you tweak the amp enough and have your own loved effects set up you could probably by-pass that natural sound of the amp and get your own thing going on.

Wish it had... maybe a built in compressor that could be varied. I dont like the input gain as I change between active and passive instruments all night so different input jacks would be easier for me to keep consistent volume.

I'm guessing this amp was made in 2006. The amp has more tones than i would typically use, but it's nice to have access to them anyway. It has a wonderful smooth sound with just enough growl to carry itself when the music gets heavier.
I think i would like to have a compresser but its not essential.I probably will never use the effects loop as i'm an old school stompbox effects chain kinda guy.

Sound Quality : 9
I'm playing a mongrel p bass of mixed vintage with a split p dimarzio with coil tap. For what i play (classic rock, classic metal and blues) i run all the tone controls flat and control everything from the guitar. At high volumes it is a fine line between a spanking hot sound and cone breakup, but back off the gain a bit and dig in, and you'll be pleasantly surprised. With the horn on and the high + low boost on, the amp really kicks ya in the face.
Yes it is a bit sterile, but then again it doesn't cost anywhere as much as an all tube SVT, but compared it back to back to yorkville, peavey, crate, and i felt the warwick came out on top.

Reliability : No Opinion
so far so good but i have never, ever blown up an amp. (i'm very anal with my gear).

Customer Support : No Opinion
no idea about warranty performance, but i moonlight in a custom amp and amp repair shop so id probably just fix it myself anyway.

Overall Rating : 9
been playing basically for fun for ever. All my other gear is guitar or horn (trumpet)oriented but i keep returning to bass playing, and this seems to be becoming my primary focus. I do wish that the amp was a bit more powerful but i was trying to achieve maximum "bang for the buck" and i think i've achieved that with the warwick. I've received nothing but compliments about the way the sweet 15 looks, the way it sounds, and the way it's laid out. I love it's simplicity (my other amp i use for my strat only has a power switch and a volume knob)and the intuitive layout of the controls. I do wish it had an external speaker jack and a balanced line out but i can live without those things.

Solid state, 150W

Good things are Low&High boost, 4-band eq, line out and fx loop. It also has a foldable lever at the rear side, so you can set it at 45 degrees to the floor instead of 90.

I use this amp mainly on the rehearsal with our band (drums, 2 guitars, keys, violin). We play mostly melodic rock.
So far, I liked it very much for it's sound and ease of use.

The bad side is that it is not that loud (either you won't really hear yourself clearly, having all that guitar/drum noise, or the "clip" lamp will always be red, which is a bit scary). But, after all, 150W, what do you want from that?
Nevertheless, great on stage.

If qui have some 50 extra, buy 15.2 version - it has a better eq (8-band) and a headphone jack. If you really need them. (:

Sound Quality : 9
Hand-made bass, fretless, with DiMarzio DP126 pickups and a tech21-bassdriver preamp (for harder, and sometimes a bit distorted sound).

Great sound either with or without the preamp. Sometimes I turn the hi-boost for a more aggressive slide sound. As the previous reviews say, you can also use that for slapping, but don't ask me about that. (:
The sound itself is very soft, but clear. Sweet, hence the name. (:

Reliability : 10
Been for a year with me, so far so good.
Wa have to pack all our things into a small room each week, so this amp holds the drums and most of other stuff. about twice it's weight. (:

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never contacted with them.

Overall Rating : 9
I've been playing bass for about 3 years now, this combo is my second one. The first one was Harley Benton, so compared to that Warwick is just great. (:

I tried some Hartke tube combos, but for some reason they sound not that good to me. Too metallic. ):
Neither I liked ampeg or Hughs & Kettner (played some of them during gigs) - maybe I was just not that lucky, who knows. ?-:
As for the stuff about 2500 euros, do I really need

If I would have to buy a new combo, I would probably buy Sweet 25.2 (same as this one, but 250W), or something tube from Warwick (if I would have money. (: )

So, to summarize - a great combo for a rehearsal or gigs in a small-medium sized clubs.

The Warwick Sweet 15 is a single channel 150watt combo amp, 1x15 speaker, 4 band equaliser, headphone jack, low and high end boosts and effects loop. I'm using as a rehearsal amp and as a replacement for my 100W Yorkville. More grunt than the Yorkville and competes well with a loud drummer and a guitarist with a 100W Peavey.
Wish it had a builtin DI and footswitchable low/high boosts - but for the price - I can live without.

Sound Quality : 10
Bass Ibanez Musician J/P with active eq. Style of music Retro/Dinosaur rock. Good rounded sound and loud enough!

This unit was secondhand - around 4 years old. No problems so far.

Have had no reason to test this one.

Love - size, portability, volume and sounds. If it were stolen or lost I probably would get another one but I don't think I would be a lucky as I have been picking this one up 2nd hand. Nothing I really hate - looks OK and doesn't require a truck to move it around.

Tech specs are found at www.warwick.com. The tone controls and the low and treble boosts are very useful and allow you to shape your sound very well. I love the gain control witch the clip-led, cuz u can get the most out of every bass, even an budget passive axe. It has the power it promises, and the clickable stand on the back makes it possible to use it as a real kickback (eg for monitoring) - very handy!! The only thing I miss is a D.I., there is only a line-out, but this is an amp u surely can use for some serouis giggin, so that's a bit of a lack.

Sound Quality : 10
I play a simple passive Stagg BC300 with P/J pickups. I slap most of the time, and when I turn on the tweeter and the treble-boost, I have all the highs I need. Even without the tweeter I get a good old-school slapsound. There are always enough lows, with or without the low-boost. I only use the bridge JB-pickup, and only cut the high mids (low mids in de middle), this gives a very "thundery" Mark King-sound. The amp also sounds very direct, with a lot of articulation. Indeed, it doesn't hide any mistakes, but makes you cut through without any problem. If you respect the clip-led you won't get any distortion.

No problems so far, but I take really good care of it!

Normally I have difficulties to choose when buying an amp, but I fell in love with the very articulate sound from the moment I plugged in, so I would surely buy it again. Maybe I would check out the more expensive Warwick combo's first, if a had the money at that time... It is a real Workingmans 15 killer to me, for half the price, it just hasn't as many knobs (and no D.I., shame on you, Warwick!)

Got this as my first amp in 1999 for about 500 euro.
It has 150 Watts that could probably blow the speaker if you turn everything up. The hi and lo boost are both very effective as already mentioned in reviews above, thus creating a surprising bandwidth for a 15' speaker. It has a 4-Band eq, Effects loop, Headphone jack and mute switch. There is a line out, which tends to a ground buzz, so I prefer seperate D/I to this. It is an easy to handle thing, and the 25 kilo dont actually feel that heavy. The features are plain, simple and all you need, but the line out buzz is a slight flaw. So I give it a 9.

Sound Quality : 7
I play it ever since with a passive Yamaha Attitude+ Bass, which works fine together. If you hit the hi boost, you get marvellous slapping sound out of it.
The sound is a very neutral and accurate, so it is fine for any kind of rock music. On the other side it is lacking somewhat of character and warmth, so it makes sense to use effects or even amp-modelling tools on it. If you just use it plainly, it is almost too precise and sterile, and brings out any tiny mistake you make without mercy. Try this in a shop and sound like a complete fool! (At least I did, and than had to say: What the heck, lets just buy it!)
Power: it has quite some punch. fine to kill your neighbors whilst home use. It also is fine as a live monitor (with the bass over PA anyway). But in rehearsal i must say, you have to really crank it up to cope with the drums. Doesnt feel comfortable at all when the clip LED is lit all the time, even though it still does not break the sound, so there has to be yet some headroom left. So: Sounds sterile but accurate, could use more power for rehearsal use. excellent for home recording/practising and live monitor use. thats 7 out of 10.

Reliability : 10
after 5 years of use not a single thing to complain about. works, sounds and looks as if new. has been thru open air and heavy use, proving sturdiness and excellent robust design. now mostly at home (often abused as subwoofer for my home studio stereo ;-).
one time on a festival i was offered playing an ampeg svt400 from the band before us. i preferred my little Warwick to it, because i knew i could rely on it.

Customer Support : No Opinion

warranty 2 years i think, but it never needed it.

Overall Rating : 8
Maybe a built-in compressor would help against the quite sterile and neutral sound, but of course you can always use an external one, so what. It has proven to be very good for home or live use, but in rehearsal where you have no extra PA I think I need more power. So I find myself looking for a professional rig, planning to use my warwick as practice/home amp, and extra monitor for gigs. This amp was an excellent choice for me as a newbie on the bass. Its neutral accuracy teached me mercilessly to become a good bass player, because you can always hear your tiniest flaws (using it without extra stuff). good versatile thing all in all, my heart says 10 but i give it a critical and objective overall 8.

warwick sweet 15 150w solid state 15" combo.
probably 1999/2000 model.
1 input, effects loop,4 channel mixer, bass and treble boost.
amp was used in rehearsal, and for a couple of gigs. it cut through surprisingly well competing with a 60w alltube marshall + 4x10 and a hard hitting drummer.
i give it 9 as it has everything you need for a medium powered combo.

Sound Quality : 9
i drive this amp with a warwick streamer standard 5-string, with std issue mec soapbar pickups, and play leftish field rock music, which basically means loud! i tend to dial it up to about 5 on the main volume and about 7 or 8 on the gain, and it rocks! basically any louder, and it would break up. the sound is deep and rich, with a good bit of growl. the amp is quite when the strings are damped, but can be a little noisy if the fan is going. i tend to put the bass setting on 7 cut the mids and treble to 7 aswell (they do tend to 'slip' to full at times!)i have compared this bass to couple of combos, the only one that seems to have the same power output is th 150w ampeg equivalent. i took the grill off, and it seemed to make difference in the sound quality, but this could be my imagination!
i would imagine the amp is rather versatile, as it has a 4 channels of sounds availible, but i tend to keep my levels on the amp the same, and change sounds on my guitar. i give it 9 again, as i don't think you could beat this for 150w combo. and the bass and treble boost buttons rule!!

Reliability : 10
no probs.

Customer Support : 10
as i said, i took the grill off, and lost the screws.(duh!) gave them a call, and they sent them over in about a week. no other need so for this bit of help, 10.

Overall Rating : 9
i am only keeping this to practice on, as i have bought myself an ampeg head and 4x10 (svt 200t, svt4x10he). i don't really need the ampeg stuff, just greed!! the sweet15 treated me really well for 3 odd years, and would recommend it to anyone who needs a good medium sized combo.

The warwick sweet 15 is a combo with a 150watt solid amp, 1x15 speaker, 4 graphic equaliser, headphone jack, low and high end boosts and effects loop. Proberly some more features go check out the warwick site. Although not the most feature packed combo it makes up for it pretty well.

Sound Quality : 9
I run an ibanez SR800 and the sweet 15 is my first step up from a practice amp. I tried out several other combo's and head cab arrangements including peavy and hartke and for the price the sweet 15 came up on top all the time. The 1x15 cab distrubutes awsome power for its size and creates a great boom. It defintaly will get the windows, pictures, fixtures and chairs moving when you get up towards 4 on the poweramp. I just joined a new band and I am looking to upgrade to a proffessional rig, but I am currently using the combo for practice and it competes with a marshal 100watt rig and a 7 piece kit with a hard hitting drummer pretty well, sure its pushing it hard to be heard but I was really surprised to hear to cut through some what.

Reliability : 10
Havnt had one problem with it yet and I have put it through its paces a few times now.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had to use them but I heard that warwick is good

Overall Rating : 10
Overall this is the best bass combo that I have heard/played. I love the fact that at home I can light it up and get the deep powerful bass feel that I couldnt get through the practice amp but be usuing it to some of its potential rather than running a massive gig rig and using 1% of its capacity. If I lost it (dont know how but hey) or got it stolen and I was in the market for another 150watt range combo I would definatly go back to the sweet 15 I have been nothing but satisfied and pleasntly surprised by it.
