The Yamaha B100-115 is a 100W solid state bass combo, having a single 15" speker, in a bass reflex cabinet measuring 91 x 71 x 38 cm (h x w x d). It has volume, low, mid, high and brightness controls, as well as a distortion (why?). As far as I know, these amps were produced in late 1970s and early 1980s. It is a rather big and heavey combo, which is its only real disadvantage. The big housing, however, undoubtedly adds to its good sound.
Sound Quality

The sound quality is ver good. It is warm, vintage if you like, but it has a lot of definition: surprising for such an old 15" stack. It is also loud. If you crank the volume, you will get a rough edge, but somehow without the sound getting muddy. I held on to this thing for 20 years, because I found it hard to find something else. I got a lot of compliments for my sound, which I always found amusing, this being such an old write-off. I use(d) it in a blues band.

These amp never failed me once in about 20 years of (occasionally careless) use. I can't give it full marks because the distortion doesn't work anymore, but who needs one for bass anyway?

This is a good amp, that is still offered used occasionally for 100 to 200 ??? or $. If you can lay your hands on one and don't mind the size: buy it. I'm selling mine because I wanted something smaller and finally found something new that I really like: an AER amp one.
